I didn't think it happened because it physically/biologically didn't make sense. But I always wondered why did R think it happened? Like, couldn't he tell.. physically? I guess ITV men never took a biology class Too much thinking for the writers. They wanted their MU and scandal for R and they wanted to give him a really clean slate. (Tbh if he was legit r*ped - no way P would have ever blamed him so they could've still shown that)

Ok so I had this crazy thing in my head.

I thought the SP writers wanted to show Raghav cheated on Pallavi. Sickand and team didn't and that is the reason they put Esha closing in scene to have a backtrack here to salvage his character.

Once the show went off air, the original writers got the reins back. Fria, I think they would have shown it as rape had they had enough time to address trauma and repurcussion around it. Raghav already had too many scares and this is something that will add to it. He will eventually move on because of Pallavi's love that he gets back now that he was innocent, but nothing happened is a cleaner slate to end it at.

I doubt men can physically or biologically feel the deed being done if drugged. For women, it can be understood if the act was rough idk?

Sharada and Ru I wish we get the police and her punishment as well. Raghav did suffer so much and Pallavi too once the truth was out, I want Esha to pay for every tear my babies have shed.

Yeah that scene was really done so beautifully. Pallavi looking at Raghav with that sadness in her eyes and Raghav understanding her - They really need to have at the least their vows renewed because frankly Pallavi was a zombie in her own wedding. She deserves a good proposal and a marriage where she feels like a queen but chalo we will imagine Raghav gives her that. Raghav listening to the conversation was done so good - even he was feeling bad after the customer kept on rejecting the sarees Pallavi was showing.

That was the saddest wedding I've seen on ITV. I can't bring myself to watch those episodes. They were both so unhappy.

Jean, he was a playboy (remember 5 things he's good at) but once he got married he never would have cheated on Pallavi. Though it was a deal marriage (he wouldn't sleep with Pallavi), he would still keep the sanctity of the marriage.

Consensual/nonconsensual/drunk ONS is quite common in ITV from what I've seen so anyone who doesn't really know how different Raghav and Pallavi's characters are might be totally okay with this track without writing it as a setup. I guess the original idea was to show Raghav in the same light as numerous other ITV male lead characters who "makes a mistake" leading to a big separation (At best, a truth revelation following the separation and a big leap). Because the show is ending, our writers got their reins back which is why they are trying their best to close the track in the most MHRW-ish way possible.

@b: We've all asked this question so many times here Fria but no luck so far lol. I guess Milind's statement here makes sense: usko yaqeen dilaaya gaya hain. Raghav was so baffled and guilt-ridden the whole time, he just believed what he saw over his own instincts I guess.

@BOLD this is the crux of the matter, right? Toxic masculinity and the conditioning that leads men to think by default that they are perpetrators and not victims in such situations? Ragahv too had no reason to think otherwise. Milind was able to think of it because of his life experiences being the abused spouse in his own marriage.

I wish they would show this. Just like Pallavi got to vent her feelings on him lying to her pushing her away , how inadequate he made her feel, he should also be allowed to describe how he felt when he thought he had become the thing he most detested, a cheater.

He should be allowed to take his anger out on the culprits. They both should they were put through hell for no reason.

@bold for me this is the worst part of this whole fiasco, the Raghav we know who hates cheaters believing he ended up becoming one himself and ended up hurting his wife and now his mother too.

What bothered more is that Raghav cursed himself and the RR we know takes pride in introducing himself and taking his name with pride... but from last one month he just kotha ee himself ... I can't express but i felt really bad for that...

Could be why they showed Sumit giving this idea to Esha instead of Sunny so then Sunny kind of has that way out and ends up helping Raghav again.

I loved the way she came in the house while talking to the lawyer and already deciding how to get Raghav out of the jail.

I liked that a lot too and how she used her status as she has done in the past and deserves to.

She has grown so much after becoming PRR. In the past she'd run around trying to solve problems singlehandedly and be stressed to the point of fainting but now she has a support system around her with the Raos and Raghav's authority, staff, etc.
