I think it's the opposite. I see people becoming fans of any actor who tastes some recent success.

Nobody cared about Hrithik before War. After the film became Blockbuster we got multiple thirst threads on him and many closet fans coming out.

Before War IF was a Ranveer fanclub, when he got three Super Hits Padmaavat, Simmba and Gully Boy in a row.

Even before that Varun Dhawan was called the new Superstar because of his 100% success rate. Once October Flopped all his fans disappeared.

Currently no actor is doing good because movies are hardly releasing. So the forum is dead and fans have no one to stan for.
