Hi!
I have only seen the show here and there over the years so this is what I know.
Akshara & Naithik had an arrange marriage. Naksh(son) and Naira(daughter) were their kids.

Naira when she was a teenager ran away from home and reconciled with her parents in her early 20's. Her & Karthik fell in love and got married. Kairav(few years older) and Akshara(named after Naira's mom) are their kids.

When Akshara(Akshu) was a only a few months old, Naira fell off a cliff and died. Karthik met Naira's look-a-like named, Sirat who bonded with the kids. She got married to her former lover who eventually died. During all this she & Karthik fell in love, got married and had a daughter, Arohi. Arohi is only maybe a year or 2 younger than Akshu.

Sirat & Karthik raised the kids acting like Naira & Sirat were the same person till Akshu was 9 or 10years old(the older kids like Kairav, Vansh knew the truth). Before Sirat could tell the truth Akshu accidentally found out from a third party but she managed to assure her that Akshu is loved like her own kid. But finding out that Akshu is not her blood sibling led Arohi to be insecure and possesive as her grandmother Sheila(who had hurt Sirat and had been very selfish all along) added fuel to the fire. Sirat & Goenkas did not want the kids anywhere near Sheila because how she was/is as a person but Arohi not understanding the reasons met her anyway. Sirat died in an accident trying to "save" Akshu for which Arohi still blames her. Sirat made(asked) Akshu promise to take care of Arohi but died before she could ask the same from Arohi for Akshu I think. Karthik also died around the same time.

I suggest watching a week or so episodes right before the leap with Akshu & Arohi as kids to better understand the dynamic and characters because I have seen people incorrectly judge these two based on the leap episodes alone.

you mean to stay Rajan is not adapting Ichche Nodee? SP is just copying Bengali OGs.

I never said that. But from what I read about Ichche Nodee, the cvs of Yrkkh have made some changes. If I'm not wrong, in that story Akshu's equivalent wasnt in love when the engagement drama happened. The rishta came for her older sister and she was the adopted one. I dont think they had Kairav like character either. The changes made here makes Arohi's dislike/hatred understandable though not justified. She has not become a vamp so far, though has been very sef centered, insecure and oblivious. We have to see how the story goes in the future though I hope the positivity of Yrkkh remains.

Can someone give a very short summary of the two girls....whose daughter is whom and little about Present Goenka family and how are they continued from first season..except daadi all look new to me..what happened to varsha( happened to be Akshara's bhabhi)and her husband in second season...

@Black Bold: The elder one is Akshara "Akshu" is kaira's daughter meaning naira and kartik's daughter and Original Akshara's granddaughter. While the younger one is Aarohi, Kartik and Sirat's daughter (Naira's look alike's daughter) and in no way connected to the original gen.

@Orange: Akshara's daughter, Naira married into goenka family and then the show shifted to their married life and the rest was sidelined. Naksh married kartik's sister they tried to show them parallel but didn't workout I guess. Gayu also married Kartik's uncle, who later divorced her, she has two sons; Vansh (from her dead fiance) and Vatsal from her hubby. Naksh and Keerti also has son named krish.

So basically they stretched kaira for 5 years and killed naira like Akshara (falling off the cliff) leaving behind her her 2 children; one an baby/infant and a 10 year old kairav to kartik who later found found her look alike. They brought her in because of kairav health condition, then they were gonna get married but her ex-fiancé returned and she married him. After she married ranveer she realized her love for kartik, and tried to focus on her married life but ranveer died and his family blamed him for his death and sirat run away. something months later kartik brought her back and married her because naira's ghost gave him permission to do so. And then they had daughter aarohi. The show took few years leap and showed the sisters in pre-teens and sirat died trying to save akshu. And kartik dies in plane crash I think. So Aarohi blamed akshu for their death even through it wasn't her fault.

So much drama right???

@Blue: They have completely forgotten masheshwaries and the other families from the 1st gen. Maheswaries were last shown during Akshu's naming ceremony that too on video called, when naira made them meet their great-granddaughter and named her after her mother. Sighania's were already sidelined and now not shown maybe they will bring them back later but for now they have disappeared. The only families present in the show right now are ghoomar family and the new Birla family. After akshu married Abhi then they will sideline goenkas too.

No. None of them are adopted. The second season was the story of Kartik and Naira (Naira is the daughter of Akshara; the original). I only started watching once Kaira started. So, I have no idea what happened to Varsha. Kairav and Akshara (3rd gen) are the children of Kartik and Naira. Naira dies and Kartik falls in love with Sirat who is the lookalike of Naira. Arohi is Kartik's and Sirat's daughter. So, Sirat also dies falling from the steps while she goes to collect Akshara and Arohi blames Akshara for Sirat's death. Naira was also supposed to be the ideal daughter, patni and bahu. So she always had a special place in her household. Sirat has always been compared to Naira. So Arohi also feels like her mother was always second to Naira so is herself to Akshara. Hence the hate towards Akshara. That's basically the crux.
