So Padamshri Kangna Ranawat says that India got azaadi in bheekh....real azaadi toh 2014 mein mili....so thousand of freedom fighters who gave up their lives ...people like Bhagat Singh, ChandraShekhar Azaad..were not fighting bravely and giving up their lives to free their country ....but woh angrejo se bheekh maang rahe the....can't believe that this ignorant woman insulted the freedom fighters in this way....

Little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Kangana is a complete moron.

Indian freedom struggle was an elite movement in the beginning. It was only limited to English educated upper class in the beginning. People were inspired by french and American revolution. When modern schools started opening in India, knowledge spread among common man. Still this movement was restricted mostly among literates.

Mahatma Gandhi made this movement a populist one. People came out of homes in villages and streets to support it. In Bengal and Punjab freedom struggle was influenced by revolution. But common man likes to stay away from violence mostly.

Somebody should tell Kangana that many people died during British rule fighting against them .She should read From Plassey to Partition: A History of Modern India by Shekhar Bandhopadhay.

PS: I am a history honors graduate and Kangana's lack of knowledge regarding freedom struggle makes hurts my soul.
