Different opinion

Many are praising Anuj for his reactions & emotions today.

My opinion differs: for me the whole episode was crud. Anuj is all talk no action. He is running around like some teen boy begging Anu family to leave her alone. He keeps going on & on about his 'dark side' but we aren't even getting a shade of grey here.

Anuj has been shown to be TOO MUCH like Anu & I'm so fed up with his character arc. I saw nothing amazing or fascinating or different today from Anuj. Same rich boss man begging people, allowing himself to be degraded & humiliated.

Only highlight was Anu smack down...thot Toshu would land outside his pent house with the impact of that slap.. Of course Anu will forgive him due to Kinjal...and he will pay the ultimate price by having to listen to an hr long bhashan but chalo.... Punishment should fit the crime. As for Anu & Baa...that Jodi is made in some special hell. Unbreakable bond no matter what Baa does Anu will always bow down to her like master & slave

Agreed -Its a struggle. My logical mind thinks like you - made a post about this too (Its very frustrating). But I think this is what the makers want to show - Anupama's story and a male who puts her first and will not take any action without her permission - basically the COMPLETE opposite of Vanraj. I don't necessarily agree with it because lets be honest they have not only just insulted Anupama but also him and he can rightfully show his true colours to them and not just empty threats. BUT I think the makers are driving this point home that he will not do anything until Anupama allows him to enter that part of her life. This is about Anupama and only her.

My feminist mind is really struggling here because I'm not a 3rd wave feminist - I believe in human equality and not that Women are better than men. I believe people - all people should be treated equally and based on merit so this whole thing of putting Anupama above Anuj's self respect is troubling me but I think this is needed to be shown to the Audience right now to make them understand that men can put a women first etc.

I somewhat wish they actually showed some kind of financial or societal loss for the Shah's by Anuj😈. They seem to be people who do not learn but atleast should suffer too. It also meets ITV drama content🤣

This show makes no sense at all instead the marathi version of rajan shahi is so realistic please do watch it out you wont be disappointed anuj character has become worst in hindi one sirf baate and nothing 🤢

Infact as much as i loved the Toshu showdown -i couldn't help compare the situation with Baa.

Toshu didn't say anything that was different than baa. Language and every accusations were equally disgusting. But Baa is still God for her🤔

Baa and Vanraj - no matter the situation walks out fine with sympathy whitewashing after few episodes.

I too thought Anuj's character would be like devika no nonsense character- but here we are. He is practically begging Anu's ex-husband and his family to insult him and leave Anu alone.

Makers obsession of all goody doormat character is beyond me.

Totally agree. Instead of having another no nonsense Anuj, we have 2nd doormat.

I also find Anuj only talk talk like Anupamaa but no action. I didn't find logical he going to Shah and requesting them. He couldn't understand yet that they are not someone who will understand request, wished he had some strong action that would put them in place.

@Bold exactly, this whole sequence is supposed to be 40+ age mature romance and Kya OTT dikhare he. Teenage romance seems more mature than today's hitting scene.

There’s a difference between being a nice humble guy and being WEAK. And anuj is now coming across as weak. He has become a shadow of Anupama. He need to be more like Devika and stop being so weak willed and apologetic when NOT AT FAULT. What crap are the writers teaching society that please bow down and take crap from everyone and let mean people walk all over you in hope of peace.

Writers please salvage anuj character before its too late. He should help anupama fly but its the other way around ..anupama is bringing him down to her level and clipping his flight. Both are crashing before the shahs. Not done.

I understand Anuj's one sided unconditional love and vulnerability and helplessness associated with that feeling..

But at his core, Anuj, the character is intelligent, even shrewd but with strength of character and iron-clasped hold on his emotions.

Hence, this weak, soporific version of Anuj is not the character I have seen in the previous episodes, neither the one I had rooted for ever since his entry in the Show. Today his behavior reminded me of how Toshu reacted when Rakhi Dave disapproved of him for her daughter..

I was expecting Anuj to file some defamation suit against Sah, especially Kavya after her badmouthing both him and Anupama at office. I was looking forward to seeing him fight filth spread by Sah with calm calculated logic, in the right legal way..

But here we are, watching the character with an unprecedented promise and potential getting dragged down to Anupama's level.. Anuj has successfully joined the leagues of Balaji heroes who convert into self-pitying, brainless creatures from alpha males once they fall in love with "mahaan" female lead..

However, I am still in awe of Gaurav's acting. He lives and breaths every emotions and nuances in each of his scenes. Like today, his cries, his emotional nakedness, all felt so real that it actually tugged at the heart strings.

I wish Gaurav was a mediocre actor as it would have been easier to disassociate with the Show provided that...

Why make him a suave rich businessman when the makers are not using his power, clout or money? He had a life before meeting Anu again and a very successful one at that but all he is reduced to now is just Anu's aashiq.

Even after everything Shah's akad and ghamand is still maintained infact it has increased tenfold. Audience thought Anuj would be the perfect antidote to that but he has turned out to be Anu 2.0

For God's sake a rice successful businessman is begging and crying in front of the Shahs. That's laughable to say the least
