I can't believe I am disagreeing with you but no in the western world mental health is not a less talked about issue. Yes there needs to be more funding to treat it well but people don't think you are crazy if you have mental health conditions. Not even in rural areas, where there is no proper treatment center and politicians and advocates are working on it. Whereas in India there is not even an acknowledgement that mental health exists, I note that you are unaware as well and it is not your fault as it substantiates my point of lack of education over mental health.

bhai - I don’t know where you live. I live in the western world since a v long time. Are they better resources here. Yes. Just like every thing health wise. But trust me. This area “mental health” is a v large gap globally 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Bb team should be held responsible

Bb team knew it and still keep ger inside for trps

I am not unaware. I have lived in western world since a v long time also. And while the resources are better here. This is an absolutely largely ignored area. I know this cuz I have seen this with my own eyes in many ways.

My point isn’t that India is good or bad. My point is this is a huge issue globally …

Of what kind and who and when. Let her and her medical team decide. Why speculate and pass judgements on what it is and/or isn’t. Again. Not arguing with you. And I for one am not going to speculate if she should have come. Not come. I have zero idea about who she is. What her condition is now and was before. But in this difficult moment. It would be best to let her get the help she needs outside ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am a mental health professional and that is why I am saying it with confidence that she was having a severe panic attacks as I have seen it multiple times and have lost few of my patients as well. She is an adult and yes her family should have intervened but she has to make the ultimate decision. As I have said I don't know laws in India as to when one can be committed but looks like you cannot.

I do agree on speculation but I also think her family should have helped her more and taken her out after the first attack. My comment was on your point of her over reaction, this was not an overreaction. I truly admire you posts and your thoughts but I unfortunately do not agree on the over reaction matter. Apart from that I have no issues. I don't want to argue either as you are a lovely person and it is shocking I disagree ❤️

Yes but it in India it is largely ignored which is not the case everywhere else. There is lack of resources but in India no one even talks about it. That is my point. First talk, then awareness will come. We cannot be a subject matter expert when we don't even know what the subject is. I recall Kanagana saying that Sushant was an Engineer so how can he have depression or mental health or something along that lines, and I thought you stupid lady do you not know that mental health doesn't see education or class, it just comes. So if a big movie star has no awareness or understanding then how can others?

and I 100% agree she needs help. Trust me. It pains me to see this in someone I actually enjoyed on the show. I just don’t know what exactly etc. esp since BB itself is a high pressure cooker and not a real environment. She needs help regardless.

Don’t mind me saying this. Since you are a mental health professional. You will definitely know better and are Intimately involved in this topic. Spreading awareness etc. I am not debating if India needs a lot of help in this area - as just like all health areas. We cannot ignore and deny that India needs to massively improve its overall health system. In usa. In some rural areas. Some people have to drive 50-100 miles or even get a basic eye exam. Btw. I know this as it’s one of the things we are working on ….

But it is my sincere belief. This is a challenge globally.

And ty for your kind words about me. I also enjoy discussing with you :).

I wanna reiterate. Affo does need help. I just hope and pray she gets it. Without our judgements :)

bhai I live in Mumbai and aap mano ya na manao India mein bahut kam log mental health seriously lete hai phir small town mein aur bhi seriously nahi lete as most people have no idea ki anxiety ya depression ya panic attack hota kya hai phir dhyaan kya denge. I shouldn't day this but Afsana had panic attack before coming in show too phir bhi she didn't took it seriously and came on the show itself somewhere shows that

celebrities are some of the most impacted by this btw. And given they are in public eye often force themselves to ignore it. U can see it in one star after another. U know Robin Williams committed suicide ? One of the finest comedians that lived and someone who was spontaneously funny .. without a script. …

You are too close to this subject. And given you spend a lot of time making people aware I don’t wanna argue with you. Because you think I am diluting your awareness efforts etc. I am not arguing with you if India needs a lot more progress on this or any other health topic more than western world. It does.

My point is this needs a lot of progress globally. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 And nope. I am not a subject matter expert. But I do deal with this topic. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Gonna leave it at that.

Don’t be mad at me ❤️🙏🏻

I appreciate difference of opinion and I by no means am suggesting that you should change your POV but merely informing you mine. I also agree that funding and resources are two major setbacks to any kind of health system. In USA I know healthcare is lacking. When I moved there from Canada which provides universal healthcare to employers based healthcare of the US I was shocked. So yes in that regard you are right.

But we both agree that Afsana needs help badly and I hope she gets it 💕
