Actually agree with you to some extent, seems like in his head he is thinking that Teja was distressed so he shouldn't add to it by telling her off. But this seems to be building up in him, I have a feeling that moment is fast approaching when he'll have enough of it and lash out at her.

teja ka ye natural behave uchi awaaz mei baat karnaa .. karan is handling this calmly .. he took stand for him yesterday . pura convo dheyan se dekhna

but if teja will repeat this some more days he will react ..

but karan is controlling himselff taki chise na bigde

but clam hone ka matlab spineless hona nei

He wasn't firm in his approach, instead he was mollycoddling her & said it very jokingly/lightly all smiling. That's not the way he should've addressed it. He should've let her know he did not liked it & she should never behave like this with him ever again, more sternly. Very unexpected from him.

Even when he was explaining himself, she wasn't taking him seriously & telling him off constantly. The way Teja takes him for granted & behaves with him, he's indeed looking spineless.
