The issue with anita and excess baggage is anita has been in the show since the start she is a supporting character who has ties to the main characters. First she was gaumbis fiance and dharas friend along with mamis niece. Her choices led to gaura marriage as well and it wasnt like she and gaumbi were just an arranged marriage they knew each other all their lives and liked each other.

After leap she played the supporting sister role for raavi and yeah she still had feelings for gaumbi regretted her actions and blamed dhara for everything. But the audience could related to her grey character and she also has these solid connections to the main characters so she isnt going anywhere. The interloper came out of nowhere when another name was floated around and proclaimed to be a stalker lover of shiva from whatever long lol on top she was full of herself and the fact she will marry a guy still in limbo about his marriage and divorce. Shivi is even more loved than gaura and any interloper was not gonna be liked and then they write such cringe scenes and expect people will enjoy this track. Even when anita has her dreams and dance seq with gaumbi you enjoy them they have humor and she is pretty harmless. Even her clash with raavi and her sort of exposure makes sense coz now raavi told her truth whatever happens after is upto gaura and they are looking messed up due to their own decisions.

The interloper just is there to annoy her connection makes no sense and sumans vault face about shivi is also annoying. Putting the entire blame on raavi and expecting her to make the move isnt looking well either when shiva is the one who started all this. Even when raavi had her guy friends around you didnt feel the cringe level that this extra brings, even when her friends were acting like jerks you didnt feel like they could put you off shivi scenes. Even now raavi gets a nice guy proposal shiva runs him off but cant speak up for himself when this extra hovers around him like carbon monoxide.

Anita is just a more relatable and interesting grey third angle who might get you mad as well as make you laugh while the excess baggage just makes you cringe on every level and no matter who she has scenes with. Its cringe they made the actors do such tacky scenes with her and this is what they are writing for shivi and then the go and edit it out coz we know its basically trash with her around.
