BK ki bakwaas finally samapt hui. I think. I hope that after 2 episodes of her nonstop nonsense, we will get a break from her rubbish
So I think today's episode belonged to Sai.
I think we had a discussion earlier about "whats there to cry"
But Ayesha has displayed the emotions so beautifully justifying her "tears"
Her tears are not out of grief. They are actually a mix of anger, frustration, hurt, embarrassment and also pain/conflicted feelings. Its all in one. She is so fed up that theres no energy or fight left. She just wants to go, run far away but she knows that its easier said than done . She almost left, but she was made to come back. She took it as a sign of divine intervention - since she came back she even was fooled into thinking things could be good...but poof, all shattered now once again.
The way Ayesha has portrayed these emotions was so wonderful. Kudos! 👏
Bk after many days of the same precap finally says she wants ghar ka chiraag. She says that pp-Sam need time coz Sam just came back n mohit is not "settled" so baby-making responsibility is on Sairat.
And Sai's reaction is a mixture of many things.
1. Anger- Anger at the way she is taunted despite not doing anything wrong. Anger at this embarrassing discussion at breakfast table in a tone that makes her feel so uncomfortable. Anger at the way bk has demanded a baby out of them as a "social obligation" as if Sai is a baby producing machine.
Her wide eyed shock at the suggestion, her anger was so much that she has no words today. Her silence,and body language spoke a lot.
She was just turning a corner with Virat, trying to move on first as friends. She hadn't shut the door on a relationship of pati-patni but she needed time/space and she needs to feel reassured, secure and most importantly she needs to be mentally ready to handle a child. Right now she has enough on her plate- full recovery, studies, and building a stronger relationship with virat.
So there is anger at how all of this had been deemed utterly unimportant by bk n no one in the family had much to say in response to the outrageous things bk said.
Bk today said- they need to atay together - ladenge, jhagdenge- koi farak nahin padta mujhe!
Hurt - Sai is hurt that she has been relegated to just a bahu- an UNWANTED bahu again. A few days ago she felt apnapan that she had craved, everyone had prayed for her well being, the way she was treated made her feel like ok- over 1 year they have finally kinda understood me n accepted me...thats why they all (most of them) were there in times of adversity. But today its like it was back to the cruel reality where she has once again become a jaahil jungli bahu. But ab bahu hai toh waaris degi. She is SO hurt that from being at this cusp of acceptance as a person, she's back to being just an unwanted burden bahu that has been shoved down upon them..
Conflicted feelings- Sai hasnt expeessed it but theres a subconscious part of her that is triggered to also be aggrieved about the status of her marriage- when she is asked to have a baby with her husband virat, it must definitely remind her of the status of her relationship- which is something that deeply pains her. Everytime she is made to recall the circumstances of her marriage, the words of Virat then, everything thats happened as a result of pp between them..its all a brutal reminder of just how FAR that goal of a regular happy married life is. Her relationship with virat - her husband is hanging by a thread. The only thing salvaging it and preventing it from breaking is a judaav that is mutual and this newfound friendship- which was igniting hope from both virat and also Sai's end too that maybe this will hopefully solidify to the point of making them spouses in the true sense....but the talk of babies is unfortunately actually acting as a reminder of past events that Sairat want to get past.
And ultimately in the pre Sairat scene and Sairat scene we see her lament about how all of this makes her feel that her decision to come back was a mistake. She feels back to square one. She knows this vicious cycle all too well. Live together, pp will come to interrupt n create MU, something will happen- there will be an argument it will escalate into a fight, words will be spoken, family that hates her n will provoke virat and he will fall prey to it, ultimately more zillat and taane, abuse.
I think if you kinda put the mish-mash of everything Sai feels together- the anger, the hurt, the pain- you kinda understand that no wonder her immediate response is- F**k this. I just want to leave. This friendship vaghera is not gonna work.
Now coming to Virats reaction- i have mixed feelings. While he looked outraged "expression" wise at what bk said, i really wish that he had pointed out that Sai is not a baby making/waaris producing machine. She has dreams/aspirations of her own and she is still in college completing her education. That one line was much NEEDED from virat. Ashwini kinda mentioned it but too quickly and just "in passing". Virat did say to bk that you know the circumstances of our marriage ...but instesd of merely saying hospital seh abhi kuch din pehle aayi hai, he should have pointed out that Sai has much else to accomplish in her life.
I felt the breakfast table Virat should have been more vociferous non his outrage too.
I did like Virats scene where he restlessly runs after Sai to go check on her, the little scene where mohit/samrat are asking virat to calm down and give Sai some space but Virat says- she has no one except me to talk to and I cant leave her alone! Finally. This realization that Sai has no one but him- this is very important for Virat to know, understand..
Sai has put all her eggs in one basket. Virat is her friend, philospher, guide, husband, confidante, punching bag and eventually will be her lover and soulmate too. Virat needs to understand that Sai is looking to him with a lot riding on his reaction. And unfortunately in many such precarious and crucial situations in the past, Virat has faltered n pushed Sai away from him instead of being there to listen to her, understand her perspective n be patient with her.
And Virat knows that Sai is clearly veey disturbed by the turn of events and Virat looks SO anxious. He knows how Sai will react- he knows that all this will make Sai regret coming back and trying to start over. And that makes him restless. He cant afford to lose her. All that was brought out well by Virat. He did look outraged n upset at the way Sai was spoken about n spoken to.
The Sairat scene was good. The way they sat by the closed door- one on each side- and how he gently coaxed Sai to talk to him, getting her to open the door. I wish he had latched it back shut instead of leaving it open once he went into the room. And then that conversation where Virat says- "apne modak" ko nahi bataogi...
And he notices how she calls him Virat Sir instead of modak.
And finally his reassurance that he will not let her feel pressured or have others put unreasonable expectations on her to do things she isn't ready for.
I wish Ashwini had gone to Sai to have a word. Woman to woman, mother to daughter.
The NiNi scene was kinda pointless. Ninad really needs to speak up for important things. This was about his son and DIL. He knows their relationship dynamic. Yet he was mute through it all. Ninad's solution is - baat karenge, thik hojayega but when he has a chance to speak he stays mute.so basically he thinks sab apne aap thik hojayega 🙄. Atkesst Ashwini is smart enough to realize that if Ninad who is her ji huzoori battalion leader goes to speak against BK's decision- and in favor of Ashwinis decision for Sairat she will only get more unreasonable n ridiculous..
Precap - shows Sairat eating something from same bowl - looks like kheer n discussing the living arrangements. Virat brings up transfer to gibe her space , Sai says- you seem very unhappy about sharing space with me and then she says aai wont let me leave. Virat says even I wont let you leave. And Sai lets slip that haan toh, I also wont let you go....virat catches that but obviously Sai will cover up....but virat ko at least kuch feeler toh shaayad milega that him going away will affect Sai...
