Chapter 40: Maafinaama

Recap: entry of aarti and kakisa, Sakshi outburst on arjun, more of case, Sameer ki sagai?

"Tumhaari sagayi ki taiyaari!" Maasa replies and all shift their gazes back and forth, from Sameer to Maasa. 

"Kya? Yeh kab decide hua?" Sameer asks frantically.

"Yeh kab decide hua matlab? Subah tumne hi kaha na tu shaadi karne ke liye taiyaar hai.." 

"Kya?!" the whole team, except Ayesha scream in shock. 

"Sameer tumne haan bol diya?" Sakshi asks in an intimidating tone.

"Aree maine haan nahi bola. Mera man bhi nahi hai shaadi karne ka." he answers rather frustrated by this sudden turn of events. 

"Toh sir bina aap ke kahe maasa ne itni taiyaari kar li. Maasa ka dimaag kharab hai kya?" a logical question from Liza gets everyone to agree on her stance. 

"Ho sakta hai!" Sameer answers in a haste of saving himself from the trouble, unknown that he has dug a grave for himself. 

All cover their mouth in shock and Sameer realises what he just said. He turns to look at Maasa who is glaring at him. 

"Maasa yeh kya hai? Maine aisa kuch nahi kaha hai!" Sameer walks towards her and gently holds her hand into his, trying his best to make her understand.

"Maasa yeh Gangaur ke liye sahi rahega na?" Pooja holds her outfit for a much more clear view and now the cat was let out of the bag. 

"Bhabhi?" Sameer's questioning gaze gets Pooja to look at Maasa with more confusion. 

Maasa slightly smirks at Pooja, which doesn't go unnoticed by anyone including Sameer and they realise that the preparation was for Gangaur which is to be celebrated tomorrow. 

"Kya hua?" Witnessing Sameer's unbelievable gaze on her, Maasa acts innocent. 

"Toh yeh sab Gangaur ke liya tha?" Sameer asks again in order to hear the obvious answer from Maasa. 

Arjun who was quiet up until now speaks, "Haan Sam!! Maasa aaj subah hi kamre mein aake bol rahi thi na, ki kal bohot saari taiyaari karni hai. Gangaur hai kal." The team looks at him surprised as they had not expected Arjun to know everything and still stay quiet. 

"Dekha!" Maasa hits Sameer's arm. "Yeh soya hua tha, phir bhi isse sab yaad hai." Maasa referring to Arjun hits Sameer again. 

"Aur tum kaam mein itne doob gaye ki meri baat ansuni kar di." She hits him again. "Maasa lag rahi hai. Kya kar rahi hai aap?" Sameer complains and the rest enjoy. 

By now Samar also came and they are informed about whatever happened in the house. "Yeh toh gaya!" Samar teases. "Sahi mein," Arjun agrees with a chuckle and both brothers hi-fi. 

Maasa has not yet stopped serving Sameer punishment. "Itna kya kaam kaam kaam haan? Apni maasa ki baat bhi sun nahi sakta." 

"Maasa galti ho gayi. Agli baar sun lunga. Promise." 

She atlast stops hitting him and he too straightens his back. "Agar galti se tumhaari shaadi kara bhi di toh uss ladki ki zindagi toh barbad hai. Kaam ke alawa aata kya hai isse." Maasa leaves no stone unturned to taunt Sameer.

Kakisa by now comes to the rescue, "Jaane do Supriya. Itna kyun suna rahi ho isse." 

Supriya looks at her frustrated "Yeh jo bilkul apne babasa pe gaya hai woh nahi dikh raha tumhe." and a proud smile takes over Sameer's face. 

"Aur dekho iss besharam ki muskurahat." Pointing at Sameer's smile, she complains again. 

"Maasa..." Sameer walks upto her and hugs her tightly from back, "direct keh sakti thi na ki aap baba sa ko miss kar rahi hai. Mujhe itna maarne ki kya zaroorat thi?" 

"Tum jaao yahan se." she chides him away. But, Sameer doesn't go, instead holds back Maasa tightly in his embrace. 

"Maasa, Babasa se itna pyaar karti thi?" Pooja asks and everyone shifts their gaze at Samar. 

"Haan bohot zyada. Aur chote toh pura Babasa pe gaya hai. Wahi smile, wahi attitude, wahi rehen-sehen, wahi awaz, sab kuch waise ka waise aur waise baal. Sameer unhi ki parchhayi toh hai." Samar admires Maasa complaining and Sameer smiling whilst listening attentively, "issiliye baba sa se related apni saari complains woh chote ke through zaya karti hai" 

"Wow itna sacha aur gehra pyaar." Liza's heart melts listening to the love which Supriya and Dham Singh shared, and so does the others. 

"Haan issiliye aaj tak Maasa, Babasa ka library itna sajaake rakhti hai. She misses him a lot!" Arjun pours his thoughts, getting Samar and Pooja to agree with him. 

"Aisa pyaar naseeb se milta hai. Na reh kar bhi humesha amar rehne wala pyaar. Babasa bhale yahan nahi hai lekin Maasa ke har yaad mein woh baste hai." Arjun further adds with tears cornering his eyes. 

Samar places his hand on Arjun's back, giving him the much needed silent support. Talking about an eternal love when his own love stays far away from him is difficult, and everyone felt it, on hearing the crack in his voice. 

"Kissi insaan se pyaar karne ke liye, usse apne paas mehsoos karne ke liye, uss insaan ka sach mein aapke paas hona zaroori nahi hai." Ayesha's eyes widen to follow the direction of the voice. Pooja smiles softly as she looks at everyone looking at her appreciatively.

"Wow.. Kya kaha hai tumne Pooja!" Samar slowly claps and Pooja's smile widens. Ayesha looks away and then turns to look at Sakshi. She had her very own infectious smile spread across her face. 

She did not speak to Arjun yet and refrained herself from talking and commenting previously too. She subtly left from there not gaining anyone's attention. 

Soon Sameer and Maasa also part away from the hug and look at everybody's smiling faces. "Sir how are you feeling?" Liza chirps. 

Sameer's relieved gaze makes her and others chuckle silently. "Shaadi na hone ki khushi mein mithai baant phir." Sameer rolls his eyes upon listening to Samar's suggestion or to be more specific his taunt. 

"Theek hai, Mithai leke aate hai phir." and dragging Samar with him, both wander off to get sweets. 

"Kal ke liye bhi leke aana." Maasa screams on top of her voice from the kitchen, making Samar scream back in positive. 

Liza, Chotu and Shree get captivated by the decorations and the preparation happening in the house, and join the family for the same. Seeing this as a perfect opportunity, Ayesha slides towards Arjun, "Sir." 

"Bye!!" the call ends on a cheerful note, and she smiles holding her phone, looking at herself in the mirror. 

"Yeh pimple!" she scrunches her eyebrows, "Bade dheet ho tum." and very closely examines it. 

Taking out her cream, she applies it on her forehead, "Arjun ke saath ladayi hone par aayi ho na tum? Meri tvacha aur Arjun ki tarafdaari?! Chalo theek hai, stress mein toh thi main. Lekin isska matlab yeh nahi ki tum kabhi bhi aa jaao." 

"Kiss se baat kar rahi ho?" a heavy, coarse voice sends a shiver down her spine. She immediately turns to look at the person, feeling that it can be him. And it was! 

"Arjun tum yahan?" her startled question and Arjun's disbelieving gaze served a great combination. 

"Haan woh tumse kuch baat karni thi." trying to avoid any sort of eye-contact with her, he says. 

"Oh lekin jahan tak mujhe pata hai, saari baatein subah hi ho gayi thi na. Tumne kaha, Maine suna. Maine kaha, tumne suna. Ab bacha kya hai?" Her each and every word spoke a lot about her bitter thoughts. Arjun's words had shattered her completely. 

"Subah ke baare mein hi baat karne aaya tha." This time Arjun's eyes showcased a strange emotion, a strong conviction and Sakshi couldn't ignore this, no matter how hard she tried. 

She walks towards the balcony silently and stands there facing outside. Arjun knew what he had to do and walks upto her. Sakshi doesn't say anything, waiting for Arjun to start this time. 

He stands next to her, and after a brief silence he starts, "Sakshi I know maine jo kiya.. I mean maine jo kaha woh bohot galat kaha. Usski wajah se tum kitni hurt hui ho, main yeh bhi jaanta hun. Lekin mera yakin karo, mere mann mein aisa kuch nahi tha. Woh gusse mein..." 

"Gussa.. kis baat ka gussa?" Sakshi interrupts, shook by his statement, and angrily looks away.  

"Kiss baat ka gussa?" Arjun raises his voice, which shocks Sakshi even more. "Tumhe andaza bhi hai tumne kya kiya tha? Tumne meri neend kharab ki, woh bhi.. woh bhi meri ungli garam chai mein duboke. Mazak ki bhi na ek hadd hoti hai Miss Anand. Aise kon jagata hai?" 

"Main." Sakshi answers in a rather composed manner and Arjun realises his tone of speech. He mellows down, "I know reason jo kuch bhi tha, I shouldn't have done that. Lekin itne saalon baad mujhe achi neend pad rahi hai, toh main nahi chahta ki koi disturb kare. Khaaskar aise.

Ho sake toh mujhe maaf kar dena aur bhul bhi jana meri baat ko. Tumhe udaas hote hue ya rote hue koi nahi dekh sakta. Aur agar meri kissi bewakoofi ki wajah se ho toh, bhul samajhkar bhula dena. Tum sach mein iss team ke liye, hum sab ke liye bohot important ho. I am really sorry" and he proceeds to walk out from the balcony.

"Ruko!" he abruptly stops. "Bhul se bhi agar koi bhul hui ho, toh bhul samajhkar bhul jana. Bhulana sirf bhul ko, galti se humein na bhula dena." Arjun turns back with visible confusion and looks at her.

"Yeh tumhari ungli chai mein dubone ke liye. Sorry!" Holding her ears with a cute smile on her face, she apologises. "Lekin mujhse Sameer ne kaha tha!" she adds in her justification.

"Kya aise jagane ke liye?" An appalled Arjun asks. 

"Nahi.. bas tumhe jagane ke liye." she continues, "lekin tum toh mujhe jaante ho na.. tum uth nahi rahe the aur mujhe samajh mein nahi aaya kaise jagaun, upar se late bhi ho raha tha. Toh..." 

"Toh meri ungli garam chai mein daal di." Arjun completes her statement in frustration.  

"Woh hum Rajasthan mein hai na toh issiliye aisa kiya." she looks at him while stating another justification. 

"Kya? Aur agar hum Mumbai mein hote toh?" Arjun raises his eyebrows waiting for her answer.

"Toh pura jug bhar ke paani fekti." Arjun glares at her making her turn timid "Woh Rajasthan mein water shortage hoti hai na toh issiliye maine aisa nahi kiya." softly she adds. 

Arjun stands there baffled. Not knowing what to do, or say, he bursts out laughing hysterically. His laugh echoes in the whole house and everyone believes that Arjun-Sakshi have sorted out their matter. 

Sameer who just enters the house is the most happiest. He heard this laughter after a long time and it really felt like ages. "Kahan hai woh?" He asks joyously as he removes the boxes from the cover.

"Sakshi ke saath." Ayesha answers immediately and Sameer turns to look at her. "Sab theek hai. Don't worry sir unhe apni galti ka ehsaas ho gaya hai. Issiliye gaye hai." Her assurance eases him and he brushes off his anger.

Here, Sakshi was still struck by Arjun's laughter. It acted like a healing balm to her wound. The fact that Arjun said sorry and even laughed at one of her most silly joke, made her feel good about herself. She gets carried away by his laughter and standing there, admires him.

Arjun soon realises that he let himself free and hence stops. Sakshi too, upon witnessing his reaction shifts her gaze. "I think mujhe neeche jaana chahiye." he flusters, and in a hurry leaves from there. 

Sakshi stands there numb. Tears stagnated in the corner of her eyes and a smile spread across her face. Reliving Arjun's laughter, she realises she has fulfilled her promise which she had made to herself 8 years back. Her happiness had no limit and all she wanted to do was scream from top of a cliff. But her this desire stays incomplete as Maasa calls her. 

"Aayi Maasa!" she wipes her tears and goes down to the dining. "Aao aao.. yeh dekho Sameer sab ke liye ghevar-rabri leke aaya hai. Chalo taste karo aur batao." Sakshi takes her plate and sits with the rest of the team. 

"Yummm!!" Sakshi exclaims "bohot tasty hai maasa." 

"Yes maasa it is really delicious." Liza also agrees with Sakshi. 

"Haan itna tasty hai ki Chotu isski taareef karna hi bhul gaya." Shree jokes and all smile as they look at Chotu relish the sweet. Sameer has a glass of fresh fruit juice in his hand, completely avoiding what he himself brought.

"Sameer tumne ghevar nahi liya?" Sakshi asks. 

"Isse mithayi pasand nahi hai." Pooja replies to Sakshi's question on behalf of Sameer and the juniors have their jaw drop in shock. 

"Sir aapko mithayi pasand nahi hai? Aap toh kitne sweet hai.." Liza states as she looks at Sameer intently for an answer. Sameer finds himself dumbstruck as he doesn't know how to answer this query. 

But Sakshi comes to his rescue, "Haan Liza, toh kya hua? Arjun ko dekho, ghevar-rabri kitne ache se kha raha hai, lekin sweetness ki ek boond bhi nahi hai andar." Sakshi's abrupt statement got everyone stunned, including Arjun. But noticing that Arjun didn't pay much heed, they realised everything is normal and eased out.

"Waise Rawate.. I mean Arjun, Sakshi se maafi mangne ka idea diya kisne?" Sameer asks as he sees Arjun also completely enjoying ghevar. 

"Ayesha ne." he states without giving his answer a second thought. Ayesha freezes with the spoon inside her mouth. Sameer clears his throat making Ayesha close her eyes. "Sir." 

"Tumhara idea tha! Aur tumne kya kaha?" and he waits for her answer. "Arjun sir ko apni galti ka ehsaas ho gaya, toh woh maafi maangne chale gaye." he adds. And making an eye contact with Sameer seemed even more difficult now. 

"Haan toh mujhe apni galti ka ehsaas hai." Arjun voices in his defence. "Issiliye jaise hi Ayesha ne kaha ki tu nahi hai problem khadi karne ke liye, main chala gaya." 

"Sirrr..." Ayesha screams and Arjun shrugs his shoulder. 

"Main problem khadi karta hun?" Sameer asks Ayesha hoping for a much suitable answer from her. 

"Nahi..." she says while nodding positively, which confuses everyone. She realises her words and actions are not matching and decides to come out clean. But, Arjun also helps her..

✨✨Flashback✨✨

As soon as Ayesha saw everyone busy and Sameer not present in the mansion, she slid towards Arjun. 

"Sir.." Arjun looked at her, "Aaj subah jo hua woh sahi nahi tha." she nervously stated and to her surprise Arjun agreed with her.

"I know!" He added "Lekin gussa kaabu mein hi nahi rakh saka main. Ussne meri ungli garam chai mein duboyi. Aadhi neend mein, upar se gusse mein, mujhe jo samajh aaya maine woh kiya." 

"Yeh ladki." Ayesha gritted her teeth. She knew Sakshi's pranks were real bad, and for a not so morning person, this was something extreme. 

But she had to even confront Arjun, saying he was wrong "I agree with you sir. Lekin.."

"Haan galti ho gayi hai mujhse aur main maafi bhi maangna chahta hun. Lekin puri team itni naaraaz hai, ki agar maine usse aur naaraaz kar diya toh problem ho jaayegi." 

Ayesha softly smiled at Arjun, making him all confused, "Sakshi filaal upar hai, aap uss se baat kar sakte hai. Jo bhi aapke thoughts hai aap usse bata sakte hai, uss situation ko lekar, aapke neend ko lekar. Woh naaraaz nahi hogi. Aur agar aap uss se dil se maafi maangege na, toh woh aapko maaf bhi kar degi." 

She continued "Usska dil bohot bada hai sir, bohot saara apnapan hai usske dil mein hum sab ke liye. Bas humari niyat saaf honi chahiye. Aap jaake baat toh kijiye uss se." 

Arjun stood there fighting with his own thoughts when Ayesha informed, "Sir filaal uske bhai bhi yahan nahi hai. Ek baar woh aa gaye toh Sakshi se baat karne kiye aapko Supreme Court mein arzi deni pad sakti hai. And I am not even joking." She stated hurriedly, being concerned for Arjun.

Listening to her concern, Arjun chuckled. "Bhai.. Arzi... Good one Ayesha." and with a smile and rushed upstairs. 

Ayesha had already heard Sameer warn Arjun saying, "usse aur mat rula Rawate. Aur agar tujhse nahi hoga usske saath dhang se peshaana toh uss se dur reh." 

At that time she had wondered how will she do it all. But now it seemed all easy. She smiled looking at the stairs which Arjun took to reach Sakshi and hoped for everything to go well. 

✨✨ Flashback ends✨✨

She tries to avoid Sameer as Arjun had included the last part too. If she denies, Arjun wouldn't like it and if she accepts, Sameer would not like it. It was a dead end for her and the best she chose is to remain silent. 

Sakshi, Liza, Chotu and Shree were even more nervous. They had no idea how Sameer would react and what would his reaction be to the last part of Ayesha-Arjun's conversation. Sameer looks at Arjun when Arjun winks, gesturing him to not take Ayesha's words to heart.

Sameer smiles looking at everyone's expression and everyone heaves a sigh of relief. Family members who witnessed this team like family drama in front of their eyes, adore everyone. And Samar makes it a point to pass a hilarious comment,

"Waah Ayesha tumne ek dum Maa wala kaam kiya hai. Arjun ko usske pita urf Sameer se bachakar." Sameer chokes on the juice real bad making Maasa rush to him for help. 

As soon as he becomes normal, he passes a deadly glare to Samar, "Ayee.. Chote aise ghur mat mujhe, junior nahi hun tumhara." Samar warns him, and Sameer refrains from arguing further. 

But Maasa wouldn't stay quiet. "Samar yeh bohot hi buri baat hai. Ayesha ke baare mein toh soch leta. Aise kon kehta hai?" 

"Sorry Maasa, main bas mazak kar raha tha. I am really sorry Ayesha." 

"No no Samar sir. I understand aap mazak kar rahe the. Aunty aapko aise inhe daantne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Hasi mazak mein yeh sab hota rehta hai. Aur Rathore sir it's fine. Aap bhi gussa mat kijiye." She looks at Maasa and Sameer with earnest eyes. 

"I am sorry Chote for embarassing you." Samar holds of his ears and looking at him Sameer forgets everything. "It's okay bhai. Kuch naya nahi hai." and with a smile both brothers share a warm and short hug. There were many instances in childhood when Samar embarrassed Sameer, and vice-versa. So it was nothing new for the sibling duo. The only person new was Ayesha.

"Abhi saari taiyaari ho gayi hai kal ki. Sab jaake fresh ho jaao. Usske baad saath baith ke dinner karenge." Supriya leaves from there to attend a call and all agree to maasa's instructions when they are stopped by Samar for an important announcement. 

"Haan waise dinner ke baad ke liye ice cream bhi hai. Aur kakisa ne aaj bohot hi swadisht khana banaya hai." Kakisa's catches hold of Samar's ears, "Kya matlab hai aapka beta ji. Roz kaisa khana banta hai?" And twists it lightly. 

"Sorry sorry acha hi banta hai roz.. lekin aaj na variety badi bani hai." Kakisa leaves his ears and Samar rubs his ears for relief. 

"Waise Aarti kahan hai Bhabhi?" Chotu asks, on finding her nowhere in the house. 

"Woh dance practice ke liye gayi hai." and before SamJun could ask anymore questions, she answers all by herself,

"Paas hi ke gali mein gayi hai. Aa jayenge woh aur uski teacher thodi der mein. Teacher pe pura bharosa hai humein. Maasa ki cousin ki bahu hai." 

Supriya comes back only to notice that no one has followed her instructions. "Abhi bhi yahi khade ho sab? Jaao." Upon listening to the final ultimatum by Supriya, all rush to their rooms.

Melbourne Sea-Facing Villa, a private property owned by Ritesh was now in use. It had been ages since Ritesh had stepped inside this property. He was always preoccupied with his research and its result, that he could feel nothing except a strong burning desire in his heart, to show the world his worth. 

The last he had been there was when he was working as an Assistant Research Scientist at The University of Melbourne. But he was soon expelled by the board as the Chief Research Scientist (CRS) had realized his intentions. The Melbourne Police Department is still searching for CRS. 

Watering the plants with a soft music on his lips, it was indeed a very fresh day for Ritesh. And why wouldn't it be? He had atlast accomplished what he wanted to. He couldn't contain his excitement and gradually the humming turns loud.

"Boss! Where are you? I have a good news." Subodh walks in with ecstasy and hearing his elated voice Ritesh also gets happy, and soon the two stand facing each other. "Tell me what is it?" questions Ritesh squealing in excitement. 

"Our Yacht is in perfect condition and it will help us reach India safe and sound. I have already set your lab inside and other essentials are also hoarded in." Suddenly his voice shows a slight quiver. He adds, "What's the destination boss?" 

And the water stops flowing out of the can. Adjusting his spectacles he walks towards the living room in a grave manner. All the workers make way for him, leading him to his throne. With the Indian map placed in front, his eyes shine. 

"Subod.. chal iss baar tu bata, kahan chale?" Subod knows Ritesh won't accept any haywire answers and he has to think as vilely as the devil himself to get him pleased. "Boss, Mumbai." Ritesh narrows his eyes at him. "Abadi bohot badi hai, aur sapnon ki nagri bhi kehte hai isse." 

But Ritesh doesn't look impressed, "Umm.. Nahi Subod!" he continues "Iss sapnon ki nagri ko khandar banane ka koi khaas maqsat nazar nahi aa raha. Koi ek kaaran batao jiss se main maan jaaun."

"Professor L.K Menon aaj kal Mumbai mein hi rehte hai." A simple statement and Ritesh jumps onto his feet with unbridled joy. His laugh turns so loud and vile, that it acts as an indicator of a huge blow to the citizens of Mumbai and Prof. Menon. He claps his hands so loudly that it too starts echoing in the villa.  

"Subodh! Ab ki hai tumne Ritesh ki assistant waali baat. Issi baat pe le.." and he exhilarately showers a fat bundle of currency notes on him. Subod stands there quietly, smiling at his boss's happiness. But he didn't stop here, he went inside to collect more amount, when Subod blocked his way. 

Handing him a glass of water, he rubs his back "Bas boss. Bohot ho gaya. Aap bohot khush hain, main janta hoon. Lekin aise apni tabiyat kharab mat kijiye." Giving him a tender smile, Ritesh places a kiss on Subod's forehead and silently walks out from there. 

"Boss bhi na.." Subod kneels down and collects the money fallen on the floor. He distributes it among the workers, not keeping any single penny for himself. 

Ritesh comes back to the backyard and starts watering the plants again. On completion he kneels down and slowly caresses the wet mud. "Kaise hai Chief Research Scientist?" He scoffs, "Or should I ask how are you Chief Research Scientist? Long time no see. I was busy so couldn't come to meet you in a long long while. But I hope you are doing fine." 

Subod looks at Ritesh kneeled down in the garden and walks up to check on him, "Boss?" On seeing that Ritesh is talking to the burried corpse of the CRS, he scoffs. 

"Dekho na Subod kitni nainsaafi hui hai inke saath. Koi inhe iss chote se kabr se le jaane aaya hi nahi. Inke jo chote chote tukde hai. woh kitna bura maan rahe honge." Looking at Ritesh's fake tears, Subod's smile grows even wide. 

"Ab hasso mat! Kissi ke buri kismat pe nahi haste." he slyly reprimands him. But on being unable to control their laughter, both fall out laughing. 

"Chaliye boss, thodi der mein niklana hai humein. Iss se pehle suraj uge, we have to leave." Subod informs and takes Ritesh with him. In the hallway they see a worker lying on the ground gasping for breath. Subod immediately rushes to his help when he notices the body has become pale and the temperature has dropped down to an extreme level. But looking at him still gasp for breath, Ritesh instantly shoots the worker. 

Subod connects the dots and understands what might have happened. "Boss yeh aapne?" he asks, expressing his fear. 

"Haan maine." Ritesh screams in frustration. He throws all the ornamentals and artefacts present in the hallway, damaging everything to his best abilities, he tries to cope up with the failure. 

"Kahin na kahin mujhe laga hi tha, ki yeh sab ek dhokha hai. Aur dekho." and in agitation he punches the wall. He looks back at Subod and pointing at the dead body he walks to him, "Yeh toh acha hua maine yahin pe iss worker ke andar inject kar diya. Warna this would be a major failure. I would be called a permanent failure. Ahhhhh!!" and wailing loudly he falls unconscious. 

Subod understands that Ritesh needs some time. Hence, he aborts the plan, and showcasing utmost patience, he takes Ritesh to his room. "I am not a failure.. I am not a failure.. This plan can't fail.." slowly Subod slides him on the bed.

"You are not a failure boss. Yeh plan pura hokar rahega. Lekin uss se pehle aap shaant hojaayiye aur rest kijiye." Subod softly affirms caressing his hair and leaves the room. Mumbling further in angst, Ritesh slowly falls asleep. 

He goes back to the hallway and arranges for a proper intimate funeral of the worker. Since the workers working under Ritesh have no one in their family, it was easier to perform the last rites. He even cleans up the crime scene and rearranges the damaged hallway again. As none of the workers dared to ask for an explaination, the matter got resolved then and there itself. 

At Rathore Sadan, Sameer was the first one to come down for dinner and seeing that no one else has come, he rests on the couch and walks through the case file based on a similar theft case. Maasa who is standing in a corner gazes at her son fondly. She paces towards him and stands in front folding her hands across her chest. "Yeh kya ho raha hai?"

"Kuch nahi maasa, bas kaam se related kuch hai," he replies without even raising his head from the file. This doesn't sit down well by Maasa, "Aree.. dekh kar baat kiya kar." she orders.

"Hmm.." he trails off without paying any heed, which makes her annoyed.

Arjun who saw Sameer immersed in file and Maasa standing in frustration, understood the heaviness. "Koi faayda nahi hai Maasa. Aapke tapasvi bete ki ekagrata bhang karane kissi apsara ko hi laana padega." his remark gets a huge applause from Samar and all laughs. Sameer still remains unbothered, but rolls his eyes in disbelief. 

"Lekin yeh apsara hum laaye kahan se?" Pooja asks smirking. 

"Haan. Saari apsaraon ko toh yeh reject kar chuka hai." an annoyed Samar replies sarcastically.

"Bhai aapki kyun jal rahi hai?" Arjun teases as he winks at him.

"Acha bachu??" and rolling up his sleeves, Samar tries intimidating Arjun. But all jokes. 

"Team neeche aa gayi kya?" Sameer asks, without letting his attention divert completely.

"Haan Sameer hum aa gaye." Sakshi replies as all come down together. "Hmmm." Sameer trails off as he is not willing to let go of his work. 

"Wow iss kurti mein tum kitni sundar lag rahi ho Ayesha. Kahan se liya?" On hearing the first part, Sameer thought Pooja bhabhi was complimenting Sakshi. But on hearing the name, he couldn't help but let his attention divert towards this miracle. It was no less than a miracle as he had never thought Ayesha would wear Kurtis on a daily basis. Not only him, even Arjun stood amazed by Ayesha.

But Sameer looked the most enchanted by Ayesha and this doesn't go unnoticed by the family and team. Pooja continues to enquire about her kurti and even compliments her. The girls walk to the dining area talking and giggling. Chotu and Shree stood there, indirectly noticing Sameer with a smirk.

Maasa decides to break the love-sick spell on Sameer as it had been too long. "Waise ab kaam nahi hai?" she slowly whispers near Sameer's ears. 

Sameer gets alert, "Hai!" he abruptly speaks and digs into the file again. But now he had lost the track, and it was very obvious from his expressions. Samar and Arjun cough in order to hide their laughter. Whereas Shree and Chotu had by now become experts in controlling themselves, so they were doing just fine. Maasa leaves her completely embarassed son at the clutches of SamarJun and walks towards the kitchen.

"Ayesha.. specially Rajasthan ke liye aise kurti pehen na zaroori nahi tha. Iss ghar ki bahu-betiyan traditional hi pehne aisa zaroori nahi hai." and points at Pooja, who is seen wearing a night suit. Ayesha badly chokes on water upon hearing Maasa's statement. Sakshi and Liza try to keep a straight face throughout.

Fortunately Liza jumps in to save Ayesha from further embarrassment, "Maasa aisi koi baat nahi hai. Ayesha Mumbai mein bhi jab ghar mein hoti hai, kurti hi pehenti hai. It's her night dress." Supriya feels relieved that they don't consider her to be an orthodox woman.

"Really?" Arjun loudly asks from the living room and all walk towards the dining table. Sameer too walks behind, unbothered. 

Pooja excuses herself to attend an unexpected call while the remaining girls look at him in confusion, "I mean mujhe kabhi nahi laga ki tum yeh sab bhi regularly pehenti hogi." Ayesha lowers her head in embarassment. "Pehenti hun sir. High-school days se" she replies in a low voice.

"Acha hai. Kuch naya jaan ne ko mila aaj." Arjun passes a very controlled smile and she reciprocates it.

As the food gets heated, all help in arranging the table when Pooja comes back with a news, "Aarti aaj Ruhanika ke saath hi rukegi." and SamJun get disappointed. Looking at their dull faces Samar smacks their head, "Kal subah aa jaayegi. Abhi Devadas banke ghoomne ki zaroorat nahi hai." his blunt remarks make them even more sad.

"Waise Sameer humein tumhaare haath ka khana kab khaane ko milega?" This time Sameer gives in to Pooja's demands. "Jaise hi case solve ho jaayega, main aap sabke liye khana bana dunga. Okay Bhabhi?" and Pooja nods her head in satisfaction. 

All finish their dinner and gather in the living room to eat ice cream. "Mujhe ice cream khaani hai, lekin pet mein jagah nahi bachi hai.." Samar complains and Arjun agrees with him while Kakisa comes out holding the tray. 

"Toh itna roti thusne ke liye kisne kaha tha?" she jokingly chides them and both SamarJun sit to sulk, which makes her go aww. On seeing that everyone is facing similar situation, she  asks them to walk for a while to make some place in their tummy and all readily oblige to it. Maasa looks at the marathon which has started off in her house and demands an answer. "Bandaron, yeh ho kya raha hai?"

"Icecream ke liye pet mein jagah bana rahe hai maasa." and Maasa stands stunned at Arjun's reply. "Continue." she says and sits with Lakshmi (Kakisa)

Ayesha was upstairs citing an important call and on rushing down, her hands unknowingly brush across the side table in the living room, placed near the stairs. The copper artefact kept above the table was about to fall when Pooja held it. 

Ayesha flusters, "I am so sorry ma'am.. Mera dhyan nahi gaya... Aur.."

"Bas bas.. peetal (copper) ka hai yeh. Gir jata toh sara dhyan tum par aa jata, lekin isse kuch nahi hota." and she giggles, while Ayesha leaves a sigh of relief.  

"Waise isse na andar hona chahiye. Hum sab ne kam se kam ek baar toh isse giraya hi hai. This needs some rest." Ayesha laughs looking at her sympathise with the artefact. 

"This is called Samar effect." Pooja remarks while opening the above drawer to place it in. 

Fortunately Ayesha's gaze falls upon the most precious thing ever owned by Supriya (Maasa), according to her. Ayesha takes out the black-and-white photo-frame of three young girls from the drawer and examines it closely. Pooja is taken aback by her action. "Yeh Maasa aur unke bachpan ke dost hai. Lekin tum isse aise kyun dekh rahi ho?" 

Ayesha smiles at Pooja's question and tells her everything. Pooja covers her mouth in shock as no squeal or scream can be heard by anybody else. Pooja breathes heavily to calm herself and once she is ready, both get to the couch to relax.

After a long we got update, but it was superb ❤️ 

So Sameer ke shaadi ka bhanda phut hi gaya, lol.!! Bechare Sameer ki to hosh hi udd gaye, Maasa ne Dara Jo diya. Well, gangaur is coming and I am excited for the festival, yipee..!! 

Arjun ne bhi maafi maang li Sakshi se, how cute. I love this Sakshi yaar, iska sense of humour is too good. Wo shayari, bhool se bhool hojaye wali, I remember LakshMila. If you could remind, Lakshman said the same shayari to her at the time of Lonavala track. Well, this shayari is really hilarious 😆

Loved the other scenes too. Ayesha is really a sorted person it seems. Now eager to know what she is discussing with Pooja. 

So Ritesh is the one, inn janab je baare me janne ke liye bhi wait karenge.

I am waiting for Ghangor pooja & some more family moments before the case ends it will be more fun
