If she wonders what will the world think, the redemption then will be a slow process.

It was also be nice if the gang of idiots get to see Mr Anuj Kapadia.

I wonder what the 4 idiots had done that prompts Anuj to come warn them to keep away from troubling Anupama.

Upcoming episodes will have Diwali in Anupama Ghar and Snatching Dolly's rights. How have has Anupama been annoyed again?

@I wish they show it that way but Anupama is quick to jump to conclusions and if she does hear Anuj confess his love to the idiots then she will be more concerned about their reactionto it than Anuj or her own...

thats how annoying she is...on one side she claims that love is a beautiful feeling and she would never shy from accepting and confessing and the next minute she would contradict all that with one silly reaction..

Haha, I totally understand as I do this also time and again. I am excited also abt the truth being out, just that I don't trust Anu yet on her reactions. Even though she has never misunderstood him and somewhere she knows he has feelings, she has never thought him to be wrong. She needed this jhatka too I guess to think as I have written in another post of mine. She can now give due imp to all the subtle feelings that he has shown and said or unsaid. Just that I have little doubts on her based on her past characteristics. Let's see.

For Anuj, this was bound to happen when a sadist lot provokes and insults his pure love. So on that context am not surprised that he burst out. He had sabrr with his lady but not with world full of idiots.

agree totally, and I know Anu’s past reactions have been hasty and dumb to say the least...Anuj said he has lots of sabr but he will give ul even with Anupama cause the woman is just too irrational in these situations and her judgement goes for a toss in front of the idiot gang

I think if it has a crisp and concise storyline, Anupamaa may work well online. Even though many of the people who don't watch or have watched only part of the show find it (as it currently stands) too regressive. I can't say for others, but several of my friends question me why I watch it and others all watch it as a guilty pleasure. It is pretty much established as a Saas Bahu Drama so I can understand why that happens. So I'm not sure if it continues under the same name/branding, if it'll do well. Also I think this is one of those shows that runs for years on end. Esp being the TRP topper for several weeks now, I don't think they're going to stop milking the show and Anupamaa as a character too. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has gone on similarly so I'm not sure about the future of the show.

Regardless, a web series with a similar concept/different name, a stronger lead and good writing could do really well on OTT platforms.

I actually wanted to chime in with some limited ethnographic studies here. I think online and to audience is totally different and choices differ accordingly. My mum, masi and kind of ladies of her ilk don't really choose to watch realistic dramas, meri mummy ko big boss pasand hai aur masi ko sare SP shows primarily because they are looking for some drama to discuss.... aisa nahi hai they can't digest realism, in fact I think agar general trend yahi ho ya options wahin hoon to woh dekh lenge, jaise my mom used to watch amanat, kora kagaz etc. but generally for ladies like them TV and cinema is about escapism. Realistic feel wali shows don't fulfil the purpose of their watching tv it seems.

Anupama phir bhi kafi realistic hai, because they've kept anupama relatable in terms of her depiction as a middle class housewife and her outfits and decision-making approach. I think that last pavitra rishta season 1 was like this. Sad reality is many women who watch don't find anupama's decision of divorce realistic and they would not have found her straightway moving on after divorce digestible so DKP had to show her being pushed to the brink. Tabhi use shah house mein rakha gaya.

Baki i think considering Star Plus's track record, anupama is actually pathbreaking for them considering its a realistic non-romance centered show that stuck around for long (because of its TRPs) during the past 5 years warna no other show that was like this was able to survive primarily because they don't fetch TRPs. Isliye rajan shahi ne yrkkh ka format bhi past 5 years mein romance-centric kiya tha so it fetches TRPs and abhi bhi anupama mein he carefully timed Anuj's entry after multiple insults being suffered by Anupama so audiences accept it and he gets high TRPs

Why anuj also has to suffer

oho toh you think Dolly wala precap drama will trigger the confession?

cause Anuj has come to ghosla to invite the idiots I guess and he gets insulted there?

such intuitive and well-written thoughts 🥰

We all are Anu, Anuj, MaAn, team anupama supporters && it shows that viewers want to see someone (Anu) grow and evolve. To continue her upward trajectory and find herself. We just don’t want a story built on compromise and conformity 🙌🏼

I think writers have done a good job catering to what the audience wants at varied paces .. hopefully they continue that going forward

Beautifully put😍

and with such clarity you’ve summed up all our feelings

MaAn are too precious for us♥️

I agree with the dichotomy. I was watching the show like a mad person since Anuj's entry. Right now, he's become a Yes Minister. I feel like Vanraj is shown for 15 minutes, balance 10 minutes go in Anupama's bhashan about parivar and pyaar. And Anuj agrees in 2 minutes. That's it.

September was very good. Since the Mumbai episode, the show's taken some weird V/W turn. Bapuji - who took decisions like giving the house to Anupama and Vanraj, and asking her to stay back, give her the kharkhana etc. Suddenly he tells nothing, he's become so powerless. Vanraj isn't focusing on the cafe. Idk, it's just become some weird hotch potch. I don't like the degradation of Anuj in this manner. Can't the show for God's sake move on from the Shah's?

Toshu isn't important to the story line anymore. No one's interested in his coaching class or pent house. Let Pakhi stay with her Mom - she's a minor daughter. NO court in India will give custody to Vanraj. Let her stay with the Mom. Stop showing Ba and Kavya and Vanraj. Show some new drama in Anupama's mother's house. Show some drama with Anuj and Anupama and some other bullshit in office. This ghar ka drama gali mein is just shit.

very well said both of you...

they are slowly reducing Anuj to another doormat...the elan he enetered with is all down the drain now...he is getting way too involved in the ghosla crap and is losing his magnetism...

yes ifdrama is soimportant itcan be created elsewhere, its exhausting to watch and listen to the same old shit everyday...

On a more serious note, since makers have taken this confession route and there is nothing we can do but wait and watch, I would really appreciate if they handled this gracefully..no screaming, yelling and gyaan..they should not make Anuj plead or make him apologize for loving her. That will be a big blow to the character. He has lived with just her thoughts for 26 yrs for pete's sake..he doesnt need her to love her. Thats how strong his love is. He should back off and shine as Anuj kapadia. He will always havr an eye on Anu but carry on with his work and show shah's their place. 😎😎 I would have loved to watch Anu fall in love first but if makers have unleashed this story line kuch toh sochke kiya hoga😇

God forbid if that ever happens, we love Anuj way too much but that would definitely make me dislike him, can’t hate him we’re too far gine to do that... it would totallh make the character unworthy of the love it gets....now this is freaking me out a just a bit.😩

I totally agree with the bold parts...its more about escapism, not that they lack the sensibility, but it gets exhausting and entertainment is only entertainment when it takes you away from reality, gives you some me time or sometimes even family time if you share similar interests.

My mum isnt into bigg boss but she does like shows like shows of a bolder subject with a hint of realism, nothing too tiring to invest her time in. She doesnt watch Anupama yet but she knows why I do😆
