What akshu at that time shown was like a flash. A moment of thought when a reality crashed into her. The very moment they explained it she accepted everything.

If Aarohi lost her mother then Akshu lost a mother twice. The girl realised half of her life had been a lie still she took it and accepted it.

The only thing I hate about Akshu is her following Aarohi like seriously. How she told Aarohi in her sleep that when she leaves she will take all their memories. What memory is she talking about. I can only see how she had been knocked down again and again by Aarohi even before the step sister thing.

Arohi: She is not strong. Contrary to popular belief, she is the weaker of the two. She's jealous and a narcissist by nature. That's why her drive is to be #1. She is full of herself and that's her downfall because she's going to be a horrible person. You can't reason with a narcissist. Their self importance trumps everything. I am in no way negating her loss and trauma but she is only taking it out on Akshara and that is wrong. The actress is good. However, Arohi is a one dimensional character. There aren't any layers. It's gotta be all about her. Like her first meeting with Abhi and she assumed she knew him. Her jealousy that Akshu met him first. That's exactly who she is.

Akshara: If we were to go by first impressions, she comes across as soft and weak. That's where people will make the mistake. She isn't weak. She is very well educated but she's full of empathy and compassion. She is dealing with a lot of unnecessary hate from Arohi and add her panic attacks. That girl has a spine of steel. Her inner strength shines through and I think Pranali is the perfect actor for the role. She's soft but versatile. There are layers that would be exposed slowly.

My only complaint is her putting up with Arohi's BS.

I will have to disagree though. Akshara's first impression is weak and it is not wrong. She is weak. Her long monologues of being mahaan, her being emotionally dependent on Aarohi. More so, I find Pranali's acting extremely annoying, she is unable to get into the character and despite Karishma being new, she outshines everyone around her.

There are no layers, see any typical FL you will find the same characterisation.

Aarohi's drive to be one is not because she is a narcissist by nature. She has always been second best, from a young age she has seen her mother being treated like a replacement. That is why she has this need to prove herself time and again. Her need to be number 1 is due to overwhelming pressure to prove she is enough, that she is good enough! This was hinted at by Aarohi too.

If we do consider layers, I feel Aarohi is the one that has layers and not Akshara. Akshara is they typical FL. Self sacrificing, the goodie two shoes. While Aarohi has so much to her. She is ambitious, a doctor, she knows what she wants, she has a drive, she is flawed (human attribute).

Her trauma is being over looked because of the shape it has taken, while aarohi garners all the sympathy not only from the goenkas but ask the viewers because her trauma hast taken a more conventional form. The reason Aarohi projects her anger is because no one helped her deal with her childhood trauma. She is immediately reprimanded, like within seconds if she speaks out against akshara. No one can understand or even begin to empathise with the reasons behind that.

I am sure this is how the makers are going to take forward the story. A typical narcissistic vamp and a typical seemingly soft but with core of steel heroine with the lead's strentg coming out slowly just as the vamp's wickedness become slowly more evil. My problem with this is, as I guess also those who have been trying to read more complex layers into aarohi, that it has been done a million times and it has become deadly boring. Try something new pleeaase. 😭

Then, also when they initially showed aarohi as a young girl, she did not hate her sister nor was she uncaring towards her. She was self-absorbed but she wasn't mean. When they come to know about the step relationship, she was actually concerned for akshu and felt her pain. In fact she goes to comfort her even. Then suddenly she is shown as someone extremely selfish who doesn't care about her sister at all in the space of a few seconds. That was a totally illogical twist. Afterwards the tragedy strikes. With this kind of backstory it just appears that aarohi should be written, not as a typical vamp but someone who is immature and who without proper upbringing (not because of bad blood please!)has developed a warped personality. But still someone with an underlying decency. That could have been the starting point of the story instead of this stereotype evil step-sister crap.

God this love story is so tepid and common. Only Harshad's intense stare adds some spice. What's with a doctor running a mile to see who is singing the song that catches his attention? And really how can even one hear the sound at such a distance? So it is now love at first sound. Then there is the vamp who loves and isn't loved in return and the heroine who is clueless. And the needlessly shirtless scenes. No meaningful interactions at all. Even the convo about traditional remedies vs. modern medicine felt so misplaces or contrived or something. Bah!

And that scene with the surgeon falling on top of a patient and sharing a romantic moment, with a bedsheet as barrier! Yuck! That was their meet-cute!

So akshu who apparently has learned to handle her chronic panic attacks through her music and they even show her singing to calm herself after the encounter with aarohi, suddenly seems to need to visit a hospital, that too after she calmly gives it back to dr. Mahima. And what does the doctor prescribe? " Sing"

Arohi ke saath bhi agar pair karenge toh same hi hoga bas fark itna hoga ki wo khud ko maharani smjhegi... Like seriously... She is bold and ambitious? From which angle? Ambitious hoti toh Birla Hospital internship dhundhne jaati Naa hi ki ek hot doctor se milne and jab wo mil nhi paaya toh ye toh bilkul nhi bolti ki ek doctor ko uske liye time nikalna padega sirf isiliye kyunki uss ko uss se milna hai... Matlab wo doctor hai yaar and when he ignored her ( jab Arohi ne uski bike gira di thi *kya royally ignore maara tha waise* toh apni self respect intact rakhti nd pehle hi mauke par apne behen ki beizzati karne nhi utar jaati.

I understand Arohi a little too but saying she is a better character is a lil too much.

The point is exactly that. You understand Aarohi a little but Akshara completely. My only complain is the typical route such a layered character would take just because ITV can't handle ambitious and career oriented women.

I agree. I'm actually sick of this sister vs sister. It's ridiculous.

We have a code, a rule that all girlfriends and sisters follow. It's unwritten of course.

I can't for the life of me understand ITV's obsession with sister's as enemies. It's demeaning to a beautiful bond that sisterhood is.

And I said I understand Aarohi a little bcoz I understand her need bitterness to some extent ... Not fully. Kyunki struggles toh sab karte hai na? Sabke apne past hote hai... Dard hote hai .. tanhaiyan hoti hai par wo dard, wo akelapan, wo aapke bahaye aasun aapko ye haq nahi dete meri jaan ki aap, jo nirdosh hai, usse whi dard, ghutan, aasun de do. kisi ko betmatlab dard Dene wale se abhi shayad pyaar na ho paaye kyunki na toh iss waqt inn mein apne sapno ko poora karne ke chah hai aur na hi khud ko khush rakhne ki .. iss waqt abhi usse sirf kaid rehna hai .. first aana, competition karna galat nhi hota par agar koi aapse Kam marks laaye ya jis se ye competition pasand nhi hai ya jo uss se haar gya. . usko neecha dikhana galat hai aur mere nazariye mein hamesha rahega...
