@Blue: Ha! By God, that’s not excuses my friend. That’s literally what my religion Hinduism is, in one sentence.

bhajagovindaM bhajagovindaM govindaM bhajamuuDhamate . saMpraapte sannihite kaale nahi nahi rakshati DukRiJNkaraNe .. (1)

You are still going on and on about the followers who feel disrespected.. but you aren't addressing anything about the people who make mockery of a religion says where your loyalty lies.

Come out of your idyllic mythological world where a religion cannot be mocked. Where one feels Shame if they mock one religion. Where one feels apologetic if they unknowingly mock one religion. The one who do it unintentionally, beauty of Hindu religion is that if such person seeks forgiveness it's easily given.

The real issue is people who are doing it intentionally and deliberately without iota respect for others religiousness, voice against such people need to be raised.

Why should I address the non-existent entities? My Loyalty lies with my own path to my nirvana, my religion and my spirituality. Thankfully neither me nor my religion need any ‘protection’ from anyone else other than my own scriptures and all I have to do is study them and strive to get the true meaning of what was being said and put it into practice so that ‘I’ can achieve the purpose of ‘my’ life. Make your beliefs so strong that no outside force can shake it. That’s my friendly tip for you on the occasion of this auspicious festival of lights.

Everyone loyalties should be on their path to nirvana and spirituality. Not in mocking, degrading, or beheading any follower of other religion.

World will be a beautiful place if Everyone will follow this motto.❤️

You be the one my friend! When you make a thread indirectly trying to incite negativity towards the things that ‘you’ don’t approve of, you are definitely not being the one you want ‘everyone’ else to be.

Fabindia owners are not Hindus. But they still tried to incorporate the festival and the festivities in their own way. Instead of understanding, appreciating and respecting it, the fickle minded religiously weak people just get influenced by an extremist like Tejasvi Surya without questioning his real motives which were steeped in his selfish motives. It would’ve been great if someone asked bigots like him where their loyalties lie. But Alas!

To those who felt that the "Jashn-E-Riwaz" ad mocked or disrespected Hinduism, I would love to learn why you were so offended and hurt by it. I assumed it was just rabid anti-Islamic sentiment. But I would love to learn why people genuinely felt hurt.

Here is why I thought it was super cool.

Urdu is very much an Indian language spoken by many Indians of all faiths and is Hindi's sister from the mother language of Hindustani. There have been so many loanwords and exchanges that a speaker of either language is using words from the other without knowing. Many writers do use the Devnagari script and in modern-day is often transcribed in roman alphabets as well.

Just because it is the official national language of Pakistan and mostly written in Persian script people mistakenly assume it to be foreign or Abrahamic in origin.

Jashn E Riwaz felt like a bridge. Both as a bridge to better connect Diwali a largely Indian festival with a largely Indian language, as well as a bridge for Muslims who join their Hindu brethren in Diwali celebration to feel more integrated or connected. It didn't feel malicious or ill-intended at all. It feels fitting because after all isn't Diwali about light over darkness and knowledge triumphing over ignorance.

Edit to add: The FabIndia one is the biggest controversial one I am aware of. And today I saw the Sabyasachi one. But if there are more please do share. It's really unproductive to guess and speculate why people are offended/not offended without concrete examples.

Lmao! Like how I did that? By just selecting few ads which didn't disrespect a religion and calling them doing the right way.. I'm inciting negativity?

On the bold part! I said everyone should seek their own path to spirituality which also implies stop commenting, mocking or degrading on others religion. Stop molding argument in a way which doesn't even makes sense.

Of course you did. If your intent was only to celebrate the ads that make you feel warm, you wouldn’t have added ‘the right way’ to your title. You can disown the intent now, but it’s right there for everyone to see.

Bhai/Behen/Bandhu I'm very clear with my intent and stand by it. By saying someone doing it the right way. Its for everyone to see how things can be done "which is ads can be made about a festival without disrespecting" it is including for the people who are doing it the wrong way. It doesn't incite negativity, that's your own mistaken opinion/conclusion.
