Does shiva love Raavi? Right now, I dont think he does. I think he has a crush. That's all. A crush fades. Disha is very aggressive in her pursuit of Shiva and I dont see why Raavi should stop her if shiva doesnt mind. Rolling your eyes and saying "you dont know my anger." Or "I'm a difficult person" is not a no. To me it's a yes. It means if you continue, you will have to suffer through my anger as we will be in a relationship. It means think carefully what you are heading for. To me it's a yes.

Todays episode his hesitation to say an outright no means he wants disha. Which means he cannot love Raavi. What's changing your fashion style when what you need to change is your Outlook. How you present yourself. Not physically but emotionally. Think twice before speaking. Words spoken cannot be unspoken and they are harder to forget and hurt harder than physical blows.

I'm confused with what Shiva wants. Until his wants are made clear. I want the divorce.

Loved it ❤️

And yes Shiva should be clear of a “Yes “ or “No” at least to Disha agar Suman ya Raavi ya Dhara ko nahi bola toh bhi chalega .

Even I am not understanding his actions, and what I interpret it as that he is keeping Disha as an option if Raavi doesn’t confesses or claim him in given time because though Disha is a creep she is not that bad like just imagine if a girl states that she loves and accepts you as who you are and even understands you ( according to Shiva) then what’s there to say a no , you can easily move on and settle with that person though there would be some troubles but every relationship has it own highs and lows.

I don't care what the scene is as long as it indicates some positive progress for Shivi

Fans need something to hold on to, we're being given too little!!

No matter what we’d think of the story track, but Pandya Store has always been a Shiva-Dhara story for me. Despite the ensemble cast, it's their characters who are of prime focus in the family. They both have been sketched as the dominant and the stronger ones in their respective relationships with their spouses.

They also dominate in terms of their emotions. Both of them as fearless, bold and a tornado of emotions. They were established as parallel leads who coexist in the same plane right from the day. Gautam was introduced in silos with the brothers. While Dhara running had a parallel with Shiva running to save the kite...

It was the pilot episode, and both are similar in dress colour scheme too. Generally, such a strong parallel occurs rarely between platonic characters. But, that's what set the tone for PS.

Shiva and Dhara are written with a lot of layers, while their spouses are relatively flat. There's nothing complex or layered about Gautam or Raavi. They are good-hearted people who stand diametrically opposed to the protagonists, Shiva-Dhara.

If you look at the PS posters too, Shiva and Dhara are the meatiest characters. Flawed but highly layered.

Though Shivi is my most loved couple, Shiva-Dhara is two pieces of a puzzle that are a classic example of mother-child Oedipal conflict.

I love how their journey has also evolved. I always believe that the way Shiva loves Dhara is unmatched, and the way Dhara holds a Haq over him is unparalleled.

They have evolved. Though caught in her cocoon of care all the time, he cut his umbilical cords for Raavi, because he understands his relationship with Raavi.

Though Dhara’s words were like commandments to Shiva, yet he never needed her emotionally. He never needed emotional support. He would probably brood in a corner after finding a tree. What he needs is just love.

His stances are hypocritical sometimes but I loved my Shiva-Dhara scenes in the past couple of episodes.

Image

He looks at her and tries to calm her down.

Image

She tries to command him again.

Image

He looks like a pouty adorable child always

Image

These are from the previous episode. Dhara just holds so much power on him.

Image

I am against any form of corporal punishment but Dhara just unleashes wrath when she is in her ‘tame Shiva’ mode.

Image

The rage with which she tries to command him again!

Image

Dhara is playing referee. Hasn't this been her role since childhood with pestering of Raavi - ‘dekho na Dhara di!’

Image

I loved Dhara’s expression here 🤣

In short, I have always loved Shiva-Dhara scenes more than anyone else in the show. Their bond is pure love, maybe sometimes suffocating but their hearts are bound together. Like Anam Cara or Soul Friend.

Anam Cara is a phrase that refers to the Celticconcept of the "soul friend" in religion and spirituality. The phrase is an anglicization of the Irish word anamchara, anam meaning "soul" and carameaning "friend". The term was popularized by 1997 book Anam Ċara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom about Celtic spirituality. In the Celtic tradition "soul friends" are considered an essential and integral part of spiritual development.

Another beautiful post Piu!! I love reading all your posts ❤️

I agree that Shiva and dhara are the most complex, layered and well etched out characters of PS. They are the dominant ones in terms of the actions and decisions (both right and wrong) made to drive their respective relationships in certain directions. Gautam and Raavi are more passive who simply react to what Shiva and dhara are doing.

If Disha is option b then why swear on dhara?. When shes pregnant as well. That's risky and basically tarnishes their amazing well loved relationship.Tell her that. Why hide it? Theres a 50% chance it's going to happen. What if he does marry disha. Will he be able to see Raavi move on? Honestly I think I answered my own question. Shiva doesnt love her. He will be able to move on and he will be able to fall in love with disha. Itll be boring. No spice at all. He would get bored and probably have another wife as a back up.

But here in there case they have never discussed about it because of their past history which is from childhood and that’s why Piu says that “marriage “ thing does affect them nor they do respect it and follow its laws until they are forced by others .

forced marriage concept is in ITV since time immemorial… it dates back to 2000s … Kasautii Zindagi Kay biggest and probably the oldest example….there may be others as well… next I saw in IPKKND … Ishqbaaz…MHRW… sorry never saw Naamkaran…but may be its there as well…

It’s not just their past history I feel.Initially yes- for them they were thrown into it- both were forced and just continued the way they were with each other in the past with no thought for how they were going to make this last a lifetime .

But then Problems began when Shiva started falling for her and then from her diary came to the conclusion that she still has Dev in her heart and can never love someone like him.

This was reinforced by the pain he went through everytime he heard someone compare her and him and how unsuited they are for each other. And it didn’t matter by then that she had actually started liking him as well.

He just decided to unilaterally take the decision that she is better off without him.

So I guess they were busy just reacting to each other and then to the situations…

Shiva swearing on Dhara that he does not want to marry Disha and will not go through with it is the biggest signal the writers gave. Shiva is too devoted to bhabhi maa. He will not go through with this marriage.

PS makers don't break kasams in serious issues. Shiva had sworn on suman that he will make suman wear her kangans and he did. This kasam won't break either.

Shiva will not marry Disha..how that happens is something we need to see

since folks are manifesting/wishing so many things in Edt so here is mine:

Manifesting an “Angad Maan” or an “Anuj Kapadia” for our Raavi…Angad Maan is better because he is there to make the lead couple realize their love for each other..

anyways the crux is I want another guy who is equal to Shiva or everything that Raavi ever wanted… tb to takkar hogi..
