India have traditionally not done well, whenever there has been a WC just after the IPL. The same hppd in 2nd T20 WC as well, didn't qualify for the 2nd league. I recall Kohli or Dhoni's interview thanking the gods for WC to happen prior to the IPL - the last one or prior to that.

I have no clue why India were considered favorites in this WC to begin with, they have had horrible record off-late & most of the main players missed the matches as well - not to mention half the squad is out-of-form coming into the WC, if you see the squads which played T20I's - just compare this with any other team, you will know what I'm talking about.
