She is a very problematic character, but sadly such characters exist in real life where mother's treat their DILs like crap and can't bear to see their sons prioritising them.

I have no problem with making her a negative character, the glorification and the family's silence bothers me.not a single character calls her out, instead she is respected and put on a pedestal.

Not only that she touts that pandya parivar are righteous people, follow dharma and the gyaan she gives to Somnath at every major event is headache inducing, full of hypocrisy😕
