They eventually forgive Dev and get him to marry Geet's cousin. Trust me not just loopholes there were a lot of problematic things shown in Geet.

They made her go on her knees to ask Dev for his blood to save Maan. Showing Maaneet pally with Dev (he got Geet pregnant and she was almost honor killed cos of that when she was not at fault anywhere - all of this was bhool bhool). The worse Gul did was Maan had a memory loss (last track of the show), they didn't bother to show a ten minute scene to show he got his memory back. I mean wtf was that. They ruined their entire history by not making him remember how and why he fell for Geet.

Atleast Mhrw is trying to close open loops, they literally remembered Ramaswamy today when at the end of it, it hardly mattered rn. I am keeping my fingers crossed mhrw will close all open loops and we'll really love the way it will end. Like you said, this is a show we'll love to watch back again and again.

I remember many many days saying on this AT that the convo of P with VD about R’s charitable activities was a good time to reveal Ramasamy and you madam asked me to bhool bhool it. But I’m really surprised and ad that they remembered and brought it back ❤️
Soemtimes I really love them and other times, I want to bash them.
Even yesterday I think when he was asking her to design jewellery, they made R remember that P helping R in the M track - that den scene.

I think the CVs are doing final revision of their whole script and dialogues.

The people whom we have hailed as Bhool bhool masters and from whom we are not expecting anything are surprising us, even though small, but its a pleasant surprise for me. And I feel happy that I’m invested in a show where there is some investment as well. Maybe less, maybe not as much as I desire them to be but still something as compared to the big PH’s and big CVs and writers actually forget the complete characterisation and change things according to their whims and fancies.

I’m not expecting perfection from them but that they are still able to give me those moments and make me feel the same love or maybe even more for the characters and the show from the time I started watching in March, I’m happy. 😃😃😍😍

Yes Ru glad they toned down or rather dismissed the entire MCP angle with Raghav. You can see even after the hate marriage, Raghav being so concerned for Pallavi. They showed him literally press her legs, I mean who does that to someone you hate. Raghav was class apart and I will never compare him to any male lead they ever show on tv. I'm just hoping they end the show with a beautiful arc for Raghav. I want to remember him as a great male lead and partner to Pallavi who deserved her love.

Also, agree with you on why he fell for her. It was her spark, her spunk and her personality. She was his equal in every sense of the word. Had Raghav married anyone else, that relationship would be only in name for the society and would not be as fulfilling as the one he has with Pallavi.

But yeah, I've seen most of Gul's shows (except for tamarind and the rangu wala because😆) and it's such a done to death pattern I can never go back and rewatch any of them.

Ru I said the same thing in my subsequent post. Maan was an angry young man but he wasn't an MCP. He never manhandled Geet and was largely supportive of her and respected and valued her consent a lot. Geet was also bold like Pallavi in her desire for Maan (they both had similar traits like Raghvi though Raghvi are way better written).

Liyah, yes we discussed this 2 days back and I'm so happy this team literally does a call back of earlier episodes. I remember them showing Krishna remembering how Sunny called her fat and few other instances as such where they literally had a call back of an earlier episode or scene.

The script is going to bet tighter in the next 4 weeks and I can trust this team to deliver.

The very first episode I saw was Raghav feeling guilty when he comes to know that Sulo is the one behind the MMS kaand. And then he goes immediately to the D house to tell them about his misunderstandings. When Vijay doesn't listen to him and the first time LWR is introduced, I love the way Raghav says - Pallavi mera wife hain. I am going to fight the world for her like I do for Amma and Keerti. That was when this character was sealed for me.

Straight up owned his mistake, tried to rectify it and when it didn't work accepted the relationship with all heart and gave his wife all rights. In the age of men forcing their wishes on women just because they are men, I am so glad Sickand gave this beautiful characterization for Raghav. That is why I know Raghav deserves Pallavi - He can be the man she deserves and much more.

I started watching around the same time too Sharada and trust me the way he so nonchalantly said she's my wife and part of my family just like Amma and Keerti, I knew this man will make amends.

I will never ever forget how beautiful his redemption was. Raghav always owned upto his mistakes and literally grovelled to get forgiveness. He never got anything easy in his life and had to struggle so much but he never stopped trying.

Very true. I have to say there was a time I enjoyed the ASR types. Today I can’t. The pull and the pushing.

I’m so glad that for all the gundagiri and rowdiness and don RR that he is, he didn’t do that. I’m really grateful for that.

I think Sharada mentioned about the reason for the marriage. It was so organic. Orchestrated by Amma but the reason why he gave in. Even I could never understand why those hate marriages happened. Like how does it serve the purpose of bringing that person you hate as your wife to take revenge?
When I saw the marriage track promo, I was like oh no, this was going to go in the age old drama & I was apprehensive. But the way it happened, it made sense.

About R’s attraction for P, it was definitely because of her character. He had seen as Ramasamy, he had seen her spunk. He had seen her growth in front of him, from timid and petrified to the one who gave him as good as she got and who threatened him even and beat him at his own game and who showed that Haq on him.

I remember that scene where he tells Farhad, that today I saw disgust in her eyes for me during the Amruta abortion track.

Farhad was always our No 1 cheerleader, his duas are what has brought us this far.

And Harish, our second cheerleader. Thanks to his complete ignorance of everything during R’s accident caused by Ved, we got P taking care of R and those texts and voice notes and focus Pallavi although now I don’t blame R for bringing her home after she was shot. There was a reason and he made sure to arrange everything for her treatment while who brings home an RTA case for treatment. What if he had internal bleeding? What if he went into coma? Still I loved those scenes! 😂 So I’m happy 😃

Pallavi isn't going to do anything to Raghav. R will know the MMS truth and she will show a redemption for R. P loves him way too much to keep a grudge. She'll eventually forgive him.

Right now they hate each other but still cant see the other in pain and are talking about babies. I mean who does that to people who supposedly hate. I'm really waiting for the truth to be out so I can see a guilty R

I totally agree here Fria. I've been discussing with Soni why we loved MHRW way more than we ever did geet (which was easily comparable to Geet) and noted a few reasons:

1. Raghav's backstory - the fact that his anger was not unjustified. The backstory made him so much human. They didn't make it a sob story, they rather made it a story of how flawed he was and how he tried and repented. He was never able to let go off the guilt despite earning forgiveness from Amma.

I love how they didn't try to justify his backstory, ever. He did wrong things (he was young and gullible and wanted to help his father but they were wrong nonetheless) and faced horrible (and somewhat unfair) consequences for his actions. Everyone acknowledged that he was wrong. I loved how flawed and effin relatable that made him to me.

2. Pallavi wasn't a bechari - she literally beat Raghav in all his challenges and using the right away. She was way too sharp and perceptive. She never gave up and that's what we loved about her.

Oh the number of times I've rolled my eyes seeing the typical waqt ki maari abla bechari FL on ITV. I know it's a typical TRP grabber to show a damsel in distress FL but I'm truly very thankful the creatives took a risk and went against the trend. Pallavi wasn't all talks like so many other FLs I've seen. She actually kicked RR's bum on so many occasions with her hard work, smartness and ability to analyze and make the most out of a situation. My girl made me proud.

3. No fall trip chemistry - most romance shows follow the age old formulae of a eyelock and fall catch etc. While we had these scenes in mhrw but they were far and in between. Their chemistry was just in the way they looked at each other in a room filled with people and not just when they touched or looked at each other.

I wish SS realized how great he is at portraying romance without overdoing the typical ITV romantic stuff. Even during the initial days of KHKT, I don't remember seeing the cliched flying of the dupattas or fall-trip and intense stares for 10 thousand years. I love how the tension between RaghVi was so thick and charged you could cut it with a knife.

4. Balance in a relationship - this was one of the most important reasons of why we felt Raghvi so deeply was because they were both equals. In most shows the man is seen to be more important and the woman more subservient. In Mhrw it was a healthy balance. Both indulged in each other, Raghav would simp over Pallavi and she would also baby him. I don't think I've seen such a balanced relationship on tv before.

5. Raghav's redemption and consent like Sharada explained. Despite being an alpha, he valued her consent and waited for her to accept him. He respected her always and you can see it when he says so proudly to Amma during the photoshoot that Pallavi accepted him. He changed for her because she was the light he wanted in his dark life. They both made each other better and stronger. They complemented each other. I loved that Raghvi were flawed and lonely and how they got happiness in the other.

To 4 and 5, Balance, and like Sharada and Fria mentioned earlier, consent. I love how both saw each other as equals and valued each other's opinions. From enemies to soulmates, Raghav and Pallavi respected one another throughout their whole relationship trajectory. I agree Ren, ITV is rarely able to portray such balanced relationship, which is why it has been so much more heart warming to watch. Man, I love the way Raghav's face lights up every time he sees Pallavi, as if she is the oxygen to his heart, the balm to his wounds. I love way Pallavi legit glows seeing her man because she knows she has an indisputable reign over his life, his mind and his heart. They both own each other in the most beautiful ways possible.

Sorry it turned out way bigger than I wanted. I can keep going.

Ren, having seen geet and the usual GK stuff and a 100000 other ITV shows, I can vouch for everything you've shared here.

Just reading about this makes me emotional Ru.

Everything you've said is so on point. Our love for this show isn't unfounded. There are valid reasons and having experienced thousands of TV shows myself, when I tell you MHRW remains to be my top favorite, I have solid reasons backing it.
