I think I finally understand karan's stance regarding pratik, he is jealous of the fact that pratik has built rock solid relations in the house and has people who genuinely stand for him almost unconditionally ( nishant and now akasa), this is something he wants for himself but has not earned yet and its killing him.

Pratik is way too endearing and likeable to be a villain.

Maybe a troublemaker but it's hard to hate him he just has this innocence in him..

Vishal to me could be the villain..
