Toshi's Chaiyya Chaiyya

Im surprised to see the judges passing comments on Toshi being low on energy and not singing as great as he should.

According to me he sang well. His low notes were not excellent but throughout the song he was really good and it was a tough song to sing.

Somehow I didnt appreciate Farah's marks. 7 was just not done. 8 would have been better marked.

You are absolutely right Sonam, i also have this feeling that they are not doing justice to Toshi's singing, always giving him average marks and not even appreciating his efforts to sing a song in his own style and not copying other singers.

He got wat he deserved... The energy was definitely missing and then, to top it all came the additional taans at the end 😆

Sukhwinder songs are high energy songs and by reducing the scale Toshi could not create the feel.

He is improving and lets hope he does well next week.If he continues his histronics of alaaps I dont think he will get into finals of the show.

I do agree that the feel of the song could have been better but according to me he sang pretty well. Vishal did mention that he was low in energy but he did sing very well.

However Farah had no reason to give him 7 just coz she has high expectations on him.

There is also nothing wrong in the sargam which he always sings. I think its beautiful, original and definitely his style. I appreciate it and its fantastic to watch a performer and hear a singer like himself who is very unique.

I agree with Sonam... he sang very well, and has improved a bit; 7 is just not done 'coz you've got higher expectations from him. 8 would have been so much better. And I liked it that there were not a lotof histrionics in his performance-- I'm glad he's working on that 😃
Sure the energy as missing, but I was wondering, have any of those guys heard the other version of Chaiyya Chaiyya on the music album? Toshi's version was a lot closer to that one rather than the one which is more popular and on a higher note... I think he sang something in between the 2 versions 😊

well i didnt his singing this time ...toshi si a fab singer but i dun think he sang chaiya chaiya as per his calibre ...he cud hav definately done a better job ...
he is capable of it!!
and to b frank ........i didnt like his version of chaiya chaiya at all ...i think he goit the right marks

I think Vinit knocking him down may have affected his confidence but I hope he comes up as I like his singing.

Same ere i really like toshi's singing am a big fan of his...His chaiyya chaiyya was not up to his potenial level but it didnt deserve a 7 as such 8 wud ave been gud
