Just saw the SBS segment and usmein bhi bol rahe hain ki AC/Malini ka patta jaldi cut hone wala hai T house se😆

So all signs point to the fact ki jo positivity build up ho rahi hai will reach a resolution this time without getting sidetracked by the villains *fingers crossed*

Hahah yes wohi toh i was saying yesterday ke I love these little bits of practice they show..why just janmashmti BBC main ball room bhi imlie ne hi sikhaya that he gave a shaandaar pradarshan of it in the office walon ki party🤣 Pehle toh itne nikamme ishtudent bante hain then he goes and aces on the exam day and make teacher imlie proud🤣 and phir iski ek dum bache ki tarah bateesi nikalti hai ke dekho dekho maine kar lia🤣

but this has such an Adi wala feel unlike ykw😆....firstly the voice and the dialect..thank you for keeping it like Adi...very grateful👍🏼

just the way he sings ‘kya karun saajna’ woh lamenting wala mode that Adi goes into sometimes that he’s regretful but also in awe ki Imlie has through it all for him...like I can totally picture Adi’s "I wish...." when those lines are sung

but on to the sweet part of those first two lines...that despite the storm they were and are in...those first two lines always remain true ❤️

The lines felt more to me like it's Adi talking about his perspective of how he knows he is both the kaajal adorning her eyes as well as the tears in her eyes that wash away the kaajal....there is both beauty and pain in their love and he knows he is the cause of her tears many times but then the line ends on a rueful note ki "Kya karun Saajna".....ki pata hai he's the cause of her tears, he regrets it....but kare bhi kya😆....he can't stop loving her.

This is why we need to hear the rest of the male version to get context for this one paragraph😆.....I suspect the rest of it might just be the male voice also singing the same lyrics of "Piya tose milne, chhoda hai saara jahaan".....they are gender neutral enough to work both ways😆

Aww yes that was my interpretation too ke he is the kaajal and the tear that can wash it away too for her too khushi and gham saath saath wala bond hai inka but either ways alag nahi ho sakte jaise eyes se na kaajal ho sakta hai na tear. That only he brings those to her. Kabhi woh chah of lagaooing kaajal and then the tears.. if it makes sense. That either ways they are helpless in the sense ke rok nahi sakta na khudko paas jaane se na dusre ko kareeb aane se and being just itna apna.

Totally makes sense.....that is indeed what he's trying to say. Ki CHAAH toh hai kaajal lagaane ki, as in wanting to adorn her with his love but then aansu bhi ban jaata hai uski aakhon ka....his intent is to shower love on her but he also becomes the cause of her tears. And he's lamenting that fact ki intent toh Imlie ko khush karne ka hota hai but uske tears ka reason bhi ban jaata hai toh kya kare uska.....lol......

As you said, that quality of helplessness also comes through in the lines.....ki even as he knows ki aansu ka kaaran bhi yeh khud hai, he can't help himself from going to her because she is his everything.

The female version was originally composed to show Imlie ka perspective that she can't help that love she feels for Adi even as she feels he is paraya, or that she doesn't have a right over him, or that he's hurting her in many ways.....but she will still always leave the whole world behind for him because she can't live a minute without him...."Piya tose milne, chhoda hai saara jahaan.....Sajna tere bin, koi raat aur din rahaa jaaye na"

The male version is a complement to that with showing Adi now talking about how he also can't help himself from loving her even if he is the cause of her hurt sometimes.....they will both love each other always against all odds.

I hope the male version also has a "Haal saara baaton mein kahaa jaaye na" part....that's one of my fav. lines from the song😆.

Haha just saw your edit......Before Imlie (BI) is so bang on🤣.....that is how his life ka timeline is indeed organized.....Before Imlie (BI) and With Imlie (WI)......BI wala phase he'd rather zone out from his life🤣.....usko bas WI mein rehna hai till the end of time😆.

Everything begins for him with Imlie only.....that is the happiness, the joy that shows on his face whenever he gets to share any moment with her....isliye Imlie ke saath hi saare tyohaar, rituals shuru hote hain for him now....warna pehle har cheez se bhaagta tha😆....but in Imlie's case, HE'S the one usually more excited to celebrate things cuz IMLIE hai saath mein😆.

BI toh woh walking dead zone mein tha na in order to withstand incessant emotional abuse adding to that brain dead zone I guess

uski zindagi hi WI phase se shuru huyi....its like Imlie literally breathed life into him😆....toh like you said everything..all the bhaavs and faraks..are connected to Imlie and sirf Imlie uski patni ❤️😆

and haha aww about him being more excited than the jhalli herself❤️..she literally brings out the baccha Adi jo shaayad bachpan mein bhi aisa nahi tha😆

oh just on your post about piya tose chorus fitting the male voice as well...matlab ab toh Adi lives those lines literally hehe ki he would literally leave saara jahaan as long as Imlie is with him...parivaar who? daftar what?😆...and Imlie ke bina koi din ya raat raha nahi jaata woh babusahib ne kayi baar demonstrate kiya hai 😆...again he adores and loves his jhalli like no one else🤗

PS - love yours and NM's interpretation of his lines in the song❤️

Thanks, GT :)

Piya Tose fundamentally is a song about flawed love....it's a song about being helplessly in love even with a flawed person....it's a song about being in love against all odds. That is what Imlie's perspective was and now they've added in Adi's perspective which is about him knowing that he is flawed, but his love is true and will always only be for Imlie.

It's interesting that most love songs are usually about an idealized image of love or flowery descriptions of each other.....while Piya Tose is literally just about expressing your own helplessness in love...."Kya karun, Saajnaa"😆.

+1 to everything you’ve beautifully described❤️

haha if you think about it Piya Tose is just put in a quintessential Adi-Imlie way just like how woh dono har baat itne seedhe matter-of-fact way mein keh dete hain..fully unvarnished.......and that helpless wala love they have is almost like them surrendering to that spiritual love they share jo sab se ladh sakta hai..khud se bhi...that everything trying to break that love and bond are merely worldly things that don’t even operate in their realm.........and of course what always draws you to Adi-Imlie is that nothing about them is idealised really..woh sabse real hai..there are no illusions or parda..just like a simple acceptance ki come aandhi-toofan they stand by their ultimate truth about their pyaar and saath.....but the funny thing then is that just the purity of this bond they share makes them seem surreal and otherworldly almost❤️

Lol back then inko Adi phasaa hua lagta tha and now Radha-Aparna are busy praising Imlie even more than him. 🤣

Adi toh phir bhi Imlie ko Jhalli bolta hai, while Aparna is now like Imlie is the BEST 😆….toh phir bolo zyada buri tarhaan kaun phasaa? 😛😆
