The rebellion was eventually suppressed, many Paika were killed, some surrendered and in the end Buxi was kept in house arrest where he died like a political prisoner. 😭😢 Still Brits didn't have guts to kill him like rajguru. They knew if this time they repeated same mistake whole Odisha would go against them and they couldn't afford that.

Acting is ok, editing is horrible, story is confusing and you won't find historical elements. You can watch for timepass. Only Fletcher creates some interest in the show. Not a magnum opus. A passing show if you can bear the historical and editing blunders

Your other posts have valid and solid questions. Looks like you have either done a lot of research or you are a native of Orissa who had to study history which included those points.

Unfortunately the editing remains horrible… plus the extras who have been hired for the guards, the doctor… all look like they have just been hired without any audition, look test etc. And those tracks like Rajguru track have all been disposed of, and nonsense like this Baudamba Maharaj getting injured while protecting BJ have been glorified. It’s never going to do good to any historical show. Best not to get too attached, and see whatever scene interests us.

I am not too attached , I like Fletcher's character though maybe because the actor is good and handsome and the character's grey shades makes the character Interesting. I would have shipped Fleni but I cannot so there is atleast no shipping business here which will make me happy or sad. I don't like both Kaxi and Raxi so least interested in their nonsensical triangle.

I agree, they escaped rajguru to show maharaj badamba. What the hell? How could they escape such an important part of Paika rebellion. 😤

I have not done any extensive research, watched some informative videos and searched the Internet.

And how could Fletcher kill that doctor. Doctor was a Brit wuldn't he have to explain himself for killing a British citizen like this. 🥴 Yes he cured maharaj but was this something illegal or did this deed deserve death punishment. In reality Fletcher guy would have been court martialed and jailed for his insanity.

One thing I liked , that they are not showing every brit as a bad person, that's a good change on itv, that doctor was a good guy and did a kind deed to his enemy.

each actors acting is good especially Sharad as buxiji is stealing the Show..His expressions , dialogs and acting everything about him is outstanding..

Sulagna as buxiji wife is good as a supporting wife.. wr cant expect romance in such shows..her dialogs are inspiration to each and every woman..

Danny is brilliant as Fletcher..His scenes with Sharad is worth watching

Hemal is beautiful and as a new comer she is doing good..she is good during fight scenes.her imitation as Buxiji was good..

all others actors are good..

Every show has loop holes..this show started just 2 weeks ago..how can we judge so soon..they need time to establish themselves..

The song maa meri maa brought me tears and sharad dialogs are so inspiring..

the drawback of the show is its timing..

i love the show..i appreciate the hardwork the team is putting to bring the story of unsung hero to our nee generation should be appreciated..i will appreciate and watch the show..

I wanted to ask you MastaniBaji… was BJ really an adopted son? They made it such a big deal in today’s episode… everybody from Gadhadhar to Mukunddev Maharaj reminded him of his origin, bloodline didn’t have any Bauxi family qualities.. and being disheartened, he gives tyaag of his Senapati position.

This adoption-own bloodline track also is so done to death in every show. They always show the adopted, illegitimate children to be very responsible, always abiding by the family wishes.. and the legitimate children always irresponsible and wayward. 🤢 It all depends on the upbringing and the values taught to both groups of children. I had a neighbour once, who longed for a child, didn’t get one, finally adopted one, and then got a child of her own. 😆 She never differentiated between the two, and both today are doing very well… whenever I went to their house, both were very well disciplined and warm.. not the nonsense they show in every serial nowadays. 🤔 Tagging you.

I have never read anywhere Buxi was an adopted son. Gadadhar was his cousin. Buxi got his position in inheritance and he was married to princesses of two kingdoms. He was a very respected personality being Bakshi of raja Mukunddev. Raja was a cowardly personality. He was under tutelage of British who kept him as king just to look over social administration while economic and military powers were in hands of British. Infact after second Paika rebellion Mukunddev secretly wrote to British for help. So characterization is according to history. His position as chalanti vishnu is also a factor him staying as king. I think they have added this adoptive son factor just to somehow justify gadadhar and Buxi's conflict over property when Fletcher will confiscate it.
