Yes Yes... they are soulmates. I read in this forum that in the original, Anuj gets serious illness and Anupama marry him out of sympathy. I wish in hindi version they don't show like that. A man is waiting for a lady love for 26 years and still waiting for her to love him...... If they show that Anuj gets ill and Anupama ,,, like her typical mahan attitude marry him out of sympathy it would be a cruel joke on a beautiful platonic and matured love story. She should realise his love and for a change she should kneel down and propose to him without knowing that he is waiting for this entire life.
