No way this man didn't know what Kauravas expected of her.

To be fair, Kauravas even if not interested would have got aroused by this discussion

Could he actually done it deliberately so that once Draupadi is attacked he can play his signature victim card to get their freedom?

Obviously Draupadi didn't given him a chance for it

he child who was in a pathetic condition in the womb, her hair still wet with the water of the womb, was placed on the earth in front of kaMsa by devakI who is equal to earth (in patience). The man grabbed the child for throwing her.

He whirled her around and suddenly threw her against the rock forcefully. The girl, who was thrown against the rock, slipped away and without being hit, rose in the sky.

Suddenly, she gave up the body of the new-born. With disheveled hair, adorned with celestial garlands and pastes, she addressed kaMsa.

All her limbs were shining with garlands. She was adorned with a dazzling crown. The goddess remained kanyA forever. She was praised by all deva-s.

She was dressed in blue and yellow. Her breasts were like elephant's heads. Her thighs were as broad as a chariot. Her face was beautiful like the moon. She had four arms.

Her complexion was bright like lightning. Her eyes were red like the morning sun. Her breasts were like rain clouds. She appeared like a cloudy twilight.

In the night engulfed by darkness, she dazzled with her bhUtagaNa-s. She danced, laughed and manifested with opposites.

The terrible Goddess rose in the sky. She drank the best drink. She laughed aloud and admonished kaMsa.

kaMsa, for your own destruction, you tried to kill me. You threw me all of a sudden against the rock.

Hence, at the time of your death, when your body is dragged by your enemy, I will tear it apart with my hands and drink the warm blood.

Uttering these terrible words, the goddess along with her followers, roamed in her celestial abode as she pleased.

And she definitely doesn't return during Kansa vadh

That girl grew up there, worshipped by the vR^iShNI-s. As ordered by vasudeva, she was looked after like a son.

(janamejaya !) Understand that this Goddess is born from a portion of prajApati (brahmA). Hence she is simultaneously ekAnaMshA - one and without having any portion (division) (with brahma). The yogakanyA appeared for the protection of keshava.

All yadava-s with good mind worshipped her since she protected kR^iShNa with her divine body.

This is the main reason I find the Subhadra = Ekanamsa theory ridiculous. Ekanamsa/Yogamaya/Devi Nidra was born on the same night as Krishna. She didn't even die to reincarnate later even if follow the divine aspect of the story. She stayed alive. Subhadra was a separate person.

Don't get this. If she was thrown to a rock, post which she got into her original form returning to divine abode. Then how and when did she get raised as son ? The lines are a mismatch

That means Kansa tried to kill her but failed. Why did not he try 2nd time? And why did he try to kill her? A girl can not contend for throne! Or did he already know that they smuggled the son out and so tried to kill her out of revenge?

If she escaped it simply means he didn't try to kill her (without divinity) or someone saved her while she survived the collision with rock and Kansa left assuming she is dead

Or else she died, this entire addition is just to give some divine touch

Hahaha in fact I used to have this question in my mind when I used to watch the old Sri Krishna serial that used to come on DD Metro. When Kans knew Devaki's 8th child is going to kill him why did he keep both of them together in one jail cell and not separately? 🀣Another question was how can Devaki and Vasudev do it when there are so many guards watching them? 🀣

And those chains they showed in the series... that too did not come to any use.

Was not it Shakuni's idea to stake Draupadi? Yudhisthir agreed to the idea in greed/desperation to get back what he lost.

Actually someone had replied this to me. Kansa knew that the 8th child will happen, so he was forcing Devaki Vasudev to get intimate and have 8th child asap since he wanted to end Him before he does a thing

Which makes sense else no woman would like to go through the pains of child birth for 9 months just to see her son being killed at birth

They would have anyway postponed the plan after 3-4th child

Yes it was Shakuni's idea. When Yudhishthir told he has lost everything, Shakuni said he still has Draupadi

I think he knew the capacity and what she could have done if left free

Then too he is stupid. Like, he can't stop Him from taking birth but he can stop Him from killing him.
