Yes completely agree on this I saw a clip on YouTube from some itv show currently running onair where the leads tried to speak marathi and got it all wrong and I was like deva , kiti tee bhashachi bhel😂😂 Inko hamesha marathi hi kyu mil jaati hain experiment karne ka liya.😅😅

It is true for any Vernacular Indian Language. They make it caricaturish.

It is true that there will be mother tongue influence. But when one (an actor) is playing a role, you are accepting and embodying the character as a whole. Either you get it right or you make it right 😉.
