Is it just me?

This forum has too many ads now. Every time I come to IF and I mostly come because of this forum. But all I get is ads at the top of the page, bottom of the page and now even in the middle of the page when I am scrolling the pages to read comments. I can barely go to topics as much because I have to keep closing ads just to read you guys’ comments. It’s infuriating. So is it just me or everyone is getting so many ads from IF?

They close interesting topics and either ban them, close or relocate them to debate forums and keep banning members. So I guess they have lost revenue and increase so many ads. But all this ads is further making me not coming to IF. I was already coming very less because of all the bad policies of IF and now this many ads is further driving me away.

@Vijay - So is this the new way you found of getting revenue after losing many members and actively by banning, closing and shifting topics elsewhere and plus banning members because of it and so on? How about improve the experience for members rather than increasing so many ads?

I agree. The ads are driving me insane. Right now as we speak, there’s an ad at the top and bottom of the screen, with a third one floating in the middle.

Oh wow. I thought may be it was just me and was driving me crazy. I have been keep closing IF to not come because of so many ads. Then later day I come only to again not spend time because it’s so annoying to keep closing ads from my screen just to read comments.

And for me the majority of advts are IF ones with data consuming videos. And it opens anywhere just about anywhere on my screen. How annoying

True. Moreover, most of the times these damn ads don't even have the close button 😡 then I have to reload the page to get rid off it

The videos yes 😠. You can't get rid of them without clicking all over the screen

This is their source of income.

Yes..those video ads....So annoying..the floating video ones are the most irritating..

That's why I log on from DuckDuckGo, no ads and no activity tracking.
