Togetherness
Shiva and Raavi have been in a live-in relationship for the past 2 years
Raavi, one of the top advocates of Mumbai
Shiva, the business tycoon of the year
For the world they were the “Picture Perfect Couple”
“Tum dono ne shaadi ka kya socha hai beta?” suman asked Raavi
“Kaki abhi nahi, hum dono yeh responsibility lene keliye tayar nahi hai” she tried to justify
“Kya tayar nahi ho? Dono ki achi naukri hai, dono ek dusre se pyaar kar the ho phir kya problem hai?” she asked
“Shaadi mein aur bhi factors hote hai kaki” she tried to explain again
It was around 2 years when Raavi had this conversation with Suman Kaki.
She even went to the extent of sending a ring for her, But Shiva and Raavi both knew that they weren't ready for it.
The ring was always with her, It was attached to her keychain.
1hr 45 mins ago
Their house , rather the place which they called “home” , was filled with love. It was a 1 BHK flat in front of Juhu beach. The view during the sunset is surreal, watching the sun change colors from yellow to orange , to a light shade of pink to turn into blue and finally purple.
Their living room was small and cozy with dim lights and soft music playing. A tiny coffee table placed next to their couch with two marks of coffee cups on it.
For today it would be 6 years that they had been dating and 4 years to live-in.
As a celebration of togetherness Shiva arranged a small house party with their close circle
“A toast to togetherness” said one of their friends while clinking the glass
“Cheers” their voice echoed
A few minutes in the party Shiva receives a text
“Meet me in the balcony”
There he stands, staring at the night sky with twinkling stars shining at him. He passed a silent prayer to always have her by his side while feeling utmost gratitude for everything he has.
“Oi hero” she said with a wide smile
“Chomu ki tarah kyu has rahi hai pagal” he said
“Mera muh , meri marzi” she said with the same wide smile plastered on her face
“Chipkali tujhe hua kya hai?” he asked with a curious smile
“Tujhe pata hai yeh party kis liye hai?” she said
“Haan , hamari anniversary party hai bhai” he said nonchalantly
“Yeh humari engagement party hai” she said with wet eyes
“Engagement ke liye ring bhi chahiye hota hai Chipkali” he said
In no time she picks out the ring from her hand and hold it near him
“Yeh le teri ring”
“Raavi yeh-” he tried to form sentences
“Its okay kuch bol ne ki zaroorat nahi hai” she said with tears freely flowing
He takes the ring from her hand
Slowly grabs her hand and slips the ring through her finger
They share a cute little eye lock until Raavi gently pulls him by his neck and places her lips on his. A slow passionate kiss of promises to be each other's happiness for the rest of their lives.
“Sorry aaj romance time control nahi hua” she said while giggling
“Ab sab allowed hai meri jaan” he said while taking her in his embrace
And this is how they always were. Time changed but they didn't
It is the same Shiva and Raavi who grew up playing in the streets of Somnath who now are independent adults who find peace and solace in each other
No grand proposals or firecrackers bursting in the background with a million dollar ring , just true heartfelt words and promises which they vow to keep.
