So I still stand with the take that this whole Pranav track will culminate in the whole family wholeheartedly and directly and explicitly accepting that imlie is their Bahu:

@bold: Yes, this is the sense I'm getting too. Rupi will mostly stay silent throughout whatever crap Malini is spewing and then she will just tell Imlie to leave.....itne mein hi Imlie will be hurt and Malini will gloat cuz she will take it to believe she has Rupi's support now.....lol but it will just be another usual delusion of Malini's.

Is show mein this trope is used a lot....silence is taken as tacit approval/agreement....but it doesn't always mean that.

It is frustrating how Adi is NEVER held responsible for all this mess, neither by the T family nor by Imlie. As if his excuse that his atmasamman ki dhajjiyan udd gayee when his bandook-nok shaadi happened and hence he did tell anyone anything is a very valid excuse.

Yeah, I don't know to what extent Imlie will manage to retort to Malini in the actual scene but it's LONG OVERDUE in the story that it's properly addressed WHY Imlie told that lie and lived it for so long....WHO she told it for and at WHAT COST. I am with ya ladies it is so subtle and it is worth noticing how aparna is the one now taking steps it is kinds role reversal from the best bahu days where imlie had tried everything but aoarna just wouldn't melt and was so consumed by anger that nothing would break past the walls she created but now the same aparna wants imlie ka trust and love but imlie is being wise and is a bit in the self preservation track with still keeping her distance and now beh jaooing as such I mean she is very much capable of it and she is trying to give aparna that feeling of she is open to the communication but she is still hesitant and aparna sees that and than it pinches her I guess so she then tries to fix that by inviting her to talk to her by sitting down with her just to do a silly sing session or just supporting her silently..aparna indeed wants to go back to that normal too and again it is very subtly shown these days how she has come to terms with imlie being adi's wife it is no longer a majboori bhi she openly smiles at their banter sees them do things as husband wife and sweet rather comfortable and appreciative but she is still in that rebuild mode caz itna kuch ho chuka hai and abhi bhinit is not an ideal situation which still kinda makes her feel guilty and see imlie ke magnanimous heart and gestures to that holds her further from going to the before zone even of now aparna seems to be longing for that too but that aspect holds her back too and not caz she thinks GB is right but it is the guilt that imlie has to jhelo that too and they can't do much caz of the kid situation I guess

Ajeeb logic hai bhai..a man can not have a broken ego and broken confidence in himself after such a trauma ..people forget adi was the one for whom this was even more a shock due to the culture shock too..imlie ke saath bhi kuch acha nahi hua tha but only this thing set this forced shaadi apart always that it was equally traumatic for them both.. inmein se koi kisi ko neecha dikhane ke liye ya kisi revenge ke liye nahi kia tha.
