I read somewhere (live law/ bar and bench) that the NCB is arguing that he is a regular consumer of drugs abroad.

But arguing that will imply for the court to use extra- territorial jurisdiction, the authority that it does not have.
For the court to rule on that it’s important that a foreign court convicts him of the said offence and that is then executed here.

The questions I have,

1. Where was this particular vessel registered?

2. How much of WhatsApp chats can be relied on? What kind of precedent is the Mumbai court setting ?

Aryan & Arbaaz weren’t picked up from the ship. They were arrested on the dock itself. They were in the queue to get inside.
