My personal opinion:
For me the point is not about how sensual or sensuality the scene exuded. It was about a normal wife who is quite self consciously trying her level best to woo and seduce her husband. It meant she wanted try. If it would be have been noticed, she is quite shy but was internally pep talking herself to be bold coz she presumes that is what her dear "patidev" likes. Like always, the CVs don't find it necessary to give her monologues. When he stood there like a gadha, unmoving and staring unaffected, it affected something deep in her. She thought he found her lacking or inadequate sexually. If Raghav truly loved here he would have lost control momentarily. He would have been mesmerised by the beauty she exuded. He would have adored her then remembered the night and pushed her away. Waise bhi he was very kind when he pushed her away the first time 😏 (thats a different story altogether, it was literally abuse) Such a gentleman. Him not getting lost in her beauty doesn't mean he loves her too much, it is just that he actually has feelings for Esha which is overpowering than his love for Pallavi or he is rather unfeeling.
If he was a more decent human being, he would have been ashamed at his actions and how he made her self doubt and ran behind her to confess his mistakes. But no, he ran away into his den like a coward who didn't have the courage to face his own mistakes. Too err is human, but not facing your mistakes is just plain lame. The Raghav I liked was Frank and honest in accepting his mistakes. Pallavi ne ek baar kaha, Raghav sach se darte nahi hai. Jo bhi Karta hai muh ke saamne karta hai, dhandora peet ke. Today he proved her wrong along with breaking her self confidence, basically humiliating her. Poor Pallavi. No one deserves to be treated like that. A good husband never does that. He has fallen into a deep pit from which he can never rise. Redemption uski ki jaati hai jisse apni galti ka ehsaas ho aur usko dohraye nahi. Baar baar sorry kehna aur galti karna is lame.
As for his guilt, he is the solely responsible for that. Are Esha and Raghav kindergarten kids? Arre girl Tum peeo, nahi tum peelo fir mein peeungi. Agar tum nahi peeogi toh mein bhi nahi peeungi. Lol. What a joke. He had the option not to drink. When he is firm with his wife why cant he with his ex? I can't accept this bhavno mein beh gayi shit. Please thats that... really not cool. Assuming she did drug him, who looks into the eyes of ex? And blowing her wounds. Wow. Aisa husband meine kabhi nahi dekha 🤷🏻♀️ Reminiscing with Ex? Awesome.
I want to use the famous imagine sequence that I have seen some people use. Imagine: If Pallavi reminisced about Mandaar and blew into his wounds, sat and drank with him, will she be excused for her behavior? She was bashed saying she was unfaithful to Raghav because she drank tea with Mandaar. Going by that what does Raghav deserve?🧐 Raghav is getting called out for his actions. Not for his intentions. Words without actions supporting them is useless. Pallavi was pretty transparent in her dealings with Mandaar. She was naive and made some mistakes. But she never shared a hotel room with her ex and definitely did not hide it from Raghav as far I as I know. So why is Raghav not transparent? And why did he yell at her when she asked him about the messages? To protect himself? Naah. It would have showed that he sent the message to Pallavi. The mistake was on Esha's side, right? So, what's the point of hiding? To protect his ex? Yeh iski thought process mujhe samajh nati. Why should he protect his ex? Ab tak toh he didn't even know her intentions. He hated her. So why protect her?
Well, cheating is cheating whether you do it emotionally or physically. And today took the cake. "Bhavno mein beh gayi" Wow. Aisa Esha ki saath bhavno mein behna par Pallavi ke saath na behna kya indicate karte hain, I wouldnt know what to say. Still Raghav can be "redeemed" because he is a male and this is ITV right? Right. Pallavi keeps waiting for him to her acknowledge her beauty and her love, while he is busy feeling guilty. Such pyaar. I'm touched. Couple goals.
As for the actors, I really sympathetize with them. Truly. SKR is a gem and a thorough gentleman. He must be feeling uncomfortable to playing a cheater. The character he built with so much passion has gone down the drain due to third class tadka. Shivangi portrayed a strong Pallavi. Not a doormat. It must be difficult for her to suddenly be portrayed as the subservient wife. How cliche. Nasty writing. Isse aacha hota CVs could have killed RaghVi. Because it has lost its feels. It feels cringe and none of the chemistry that crackled before. And that's because it feels fake and one sided.
Purely my opinion. Not meant to hurt anyone. Damn I can't believe I wrote such a long post. Thanks IF. I never knew I had this talent 😃
