I watched this it acted as both a true ending for Mann Ki 1 and a pilot episode for Mann Ki 2 where we have to pretend the Dad was on a trip abroad because he passed away real life sadly but it shows you how the family started to go against the couple before the arsenic in the soup Mann Ki 2 Episode 1 where the Dad comes back from holiday and joins in the fight against the couple.

So it was a letter which turned the family against them.
