Okayyy. Only because I am hella bored and am watching MHRW from the beginning again... I am up with some new snippets. Some of them are the ones you all had wanted to see...

PS: Review please. It helps me improve and gives me motivation to write. ❤️

------------------------------------------

1. Ved holds Pallavi at gunpoint. Raghav has his gun trained on them. Pallavi just wants to finish her work. Sigh...

"Ved don't be stupid. Put the gun down. Keep Pallavi out of this. I.."

Ved laughed seeing Raghav's eyes shift rapidly from his hostage's face to his while he pressed his gun harder against Pallavi Deshmukh's temple. Raghav's voice had revealed to Ved, his slowly ascending fear. No one else can say the same though. For the rest, he would look completely at ease. Cool and collected. But Ved Pillai knew Raghav Rao better than he knew himself.

"Funny aint it brother? To be at the other end of the barrel? You, the mighty Raghav Rao finally at my mercy. How does it feel to be the weaker one haan? All I needed was an opening and all that you, my dear friend needed, was a pressure point. A chink in that formidable armour. A weakness. And that's where I had to hit. Thanks for revealing that. She reminds you of her.... doesn't she? Pallavi Deshmukh?"

He snarled digging his forearm around Pallavi's throat harder making her gasp. She was confused. What the hell is this crackhead speaking about? Raghav's eyes changed colors immediately becoming lighter somehow. She saw him turn slightly paler.

"Don't... Ved.. put that gun away. Lets talk... you don't want to do this."

"You have no idea Raghav!!!!"

His sudden scream made both Raghav and Pallavi jump out of their skin.

"You have no idea what I want to do. Let me tell you though. I want to crumble your empire. Crush your kingdom down to it's foundations and rip apart your existence. I want to make you watch it while I do it. And then I want to slowly tear off all your limbs, rip out that smug face, let the vultures have your eyes and then dance around your dead body. That my dear friend is what I want to do."

Pallavi felt her skin roil in the sheer repulsion in that icy voice which sounded normal even while hinting at the underlying insanity of her captor. But that might not have scared her as much but for two things. One, she was his hostage. And two, Raghav looked disturbed at that. She didn't think he would be distressed as much as considering his reputation he might be having an experience of hearing such threats. If he was distressed then there must be an element of validity to his threat.

Meaning he can actually do it then.

Destroy Raghav Rao.

And at the realisation Pallavi felt her dormant fear bubble into a spreading terror. Raghav tried taking a step in front but backed off as Ved screamed at him telling he'll shoot her if he so much as moves.

"Ved. Let her go."

Raghav gritted his teeth and Ved all of sudden threw Pallavi on him shocking both of them. Raghav caught her in an arm and narrowly missed getting shot. Pallavi embarrassedly admitted that she might have screamed like a banshee at that. The next moment she opened her eyes, she saw herself deposited rather unceremoniously on the sofa as the two men had locked in a fist fight. Pallavi wanted to up and run but she sat astounded at the scene.

The way both were fighting gave an impression that they were trained professionally. Every punch, kick, limb movements, hits all were measured and incredibly lethal. She was trained in karate but she couldn't guess what style of martial art this was. Raghav specially had her attention. That man was relentless. Pallavi had no doubt that had his opponent not been Ved, Raghav would've laid him out within seconds. She heard Ved again.

"She killed herself Raghav! You .... ba*tard! You let her kill herself! This happened because of you! You.... sold us out.. you! For... your own profit you sold us out to that ACP!!!"

Raghav felt a puch land on his stomach winding him up temporarily but could feel Pallavi's curious gaze on him.

What was the mad woman doing? Why was she still here?

"I.. didn't sell you out... you moron! I warned you.. several times.. I told you.. we are not selling drugs.. we don't do that.... custom evasion was okay... but the rest.... I won't allow.."

"Who were you..to allow? We were partners goddamit! You weren't the owner... you liked her didn't you! You wanted her... so you sold us out!!! You.."

What was he telling? Someone from Raghav's past? A woman... whom apparently she reminds him of? Huh?

He caught Raghav by the neck locking one of his leg and pulled his head back against his chest restricting his breath. He was strangling him. Raghav saw purple spots dancing in front of his eyes as he desperately tried to throw him off. Ved was still shouting.

"This woman! Pallavi Deshmukh... so much like her isn't she.. the same fire in her eyes, that same goddamn altruism. Haan! So predictable brother! Falling in the same pattern aren't you? You ruined me and you got her killed. Wonder how you live with yourself you a**hole! I.."

Suddenly Ved howled and rolled off in the floor clutching his head in pain as Raghav fell face first on the ground heaving and coughing as blessed air got forced into his almost crushed trachea. He lifted his head up and blearily saw Pallavi standing with a smashed porceline jug in her hand looking wildly at Ved.

"Good job."

He whispered hoarsely and took her help in lifting himself up. But before he could do anything Ved was up again and might have lunged at his throat again had Pallavi not punched him squarely on the jaw coming in front of him. Ved felt his face being thrown back at her sheer force and Pallavi didn't take a minute to kick him in the groin which made him kiss the marble tiles yet again.

"And stand down.. you jerk. I had work to do. But you had to come and play villain of the week, tonight itself! Raghav..please tell me the time when you will be free from your appointments with scoundrels then I'll time my visits accordingly, samazla! I swear there is no peace in my life!"

She spun around facing a now increasingly nervous looking Raghav who was still gasping for air leaning against the pillar like a weed. Ved looked up wild eyed to meet his estranged friends gaze who had his fearful eyes fixed on a volcanic Pallavi.

"Yeah.. that's definitely her..."

Ved whispered painfully and managed to stand up when the police came thundering in. Ved broke into a run as the Inspector screamed at him to stop or he'll shoot. Pallavi moved away in the nick of time stumbling over her saree on the floor and landing on her a** on the centre table.

"Don't shoot! Swamy no!!!! Wait!!!!"

Raghav's frantic voice bewildered Pallavi as she nursed her little bruised bum with a hand and her not so little bruised ego. Swamy equally confused pulled the trigger in shock and Raghav leaped in front of Ved and tripped over the same saree resulting in the bullet hitting his shoulder instead of Ved's back.

"Raghav!!!"

"Sir!!!"

"Anna!!!"

And a few more shots resounded in the air. Pallavi ran towards him and cradled him against herself frantically. The blood spilled everywhere. On his checkered red shirt and her yellow saree painting everything a rich maroon. She heard the Inspector named Swamy and probably Farhad and Harish come close. She turned back for a glance and saw Ved Pillai standing there like a granite statue. A split second but she thought saw something soft in his eyes before he leaped away as some of the policemen ran behind him.

"Im fine. I'm no.. I don't need the hospital! I SAID I AM FINE FARHAD! Swamy catch him.. go.. I'm fine.. Saree ka Dukaan... hello! Idhar...chodo mereko warna uthega kaise?"

"Shut up! Chup chaap hospital jaa rahe ho tum. Abhi! Utho..."

They all collectively took a rather grumbling and irritated Raghav Rao to get patched up in the hospital and surprisingly managed to keep their brains from frying and their hands from strangling the man before he could be sedated.

Later in the morning when Pallavi returned to take her belongings which she had forgotten the night before (and after an hour long, bone tiring and ear burning lecture of self preservation to her apparent boss and a not so subtle threat of doing bodily harm if he doesn't heed to her instructions) she saw that annoying saree lying tangled on the floor. She picked it up and looked over the blood smeared on it, critically. She looked at the path were she had seen that man..Ved Pillai run away from.

She hugged the material to her chest unknowingly whispering a distracted thanks to it.

2. After award function ki raat, Raghav Pallavi ke saath (hopefully Mandar and Keerti ko deke maat and VD ko lagake do laath..) sorry sorry main emotions mein beh gyi.. 🤣

Pallavi hugged her mother in law declaring she missed her trying to hide her tears. Jaya Rao hugged her daughter tightly patting her back in a motherly way. Raghav bend down to touch Sharda's feet who instinctively blessed him and hugged him.

"Raghav main.."

Pallavi was about to say something when his mobile rang and Raghav stopped her picking it up. He started speaking to the caller in rapid Telegu and walked away from there. Pallavi felt her heart twist in her chest. She knew she had hurt him. And she knew he had every right to dismiss her. But it hurt. She went up the stairs sadly, to wait for him in their bedroom.

It was almost midnight when Raghav entered their room exhausted. Both physically and emotionally. He saw Pallavi and felt a pang in his soul. She had dozed off in a half sitting position on the bed clutching what looked like his favorite black shirt to her chest. Her lips were slightly parted as she slept like a kid and the hair stuck to her cheek blew due to her own breaths. He walked noiselessly towards her and gently caressed her hair away. He was about to touch her cheek but stopped midway. Yesterday night's events flashed in front of his eyes and he felt another gorge appear on the already broken surface of his heart with a painful crack. It was as if she heard it and woke up instantly as he stood up and backed away. Pallavi sat up on the bed and looked at him wildly. She scrambled off the bed and went behind him.

"Raghav...I am sorry."

He wasn't speaking to her. He wasn't even acknowledging her presence. She tried calling his name so many times trailing behind him all around the room like a lost puppy. She caught his hand finally as he was about to lie down on the bed.

He looked at her and regretted it immediately. She was looking like a puppy kicked one time too many. She held her ears like a child.

"I am sorry Raghav. I know maine tumhara dil dukhaya hain. Main... I.. I don't even have any valid excuse. I don't know how Mandaar got hurt. The iron was.. and then I had to go call the doctor, event dimag se hi nikal gaya main.."

"Nikal gaya? Obviously tumhe yaad nhi rahega Pallavi. Yaad humein important cheezein rehta hain. Choti batein jo unimportant hain woh hum bhool jata hain. Mandaar ke liye tumhara ye responsibility tumpe itna haavi ho gaya hain ke uske upar tumhe kuch na dikhta hain, na yaad rehta hain."

Raghav looked away. Pallavi shook her head vigorously trying to swallow her tears.

"Nhi Raghav.. tum galat samajh rahe ho.. aisa nhi hain.. main toh bass.."

"Pallavi please! Main.. tumhe koi justification dene ki zaroorat nhi hain. I don't want any explanation. I just.. I don't know. I just felt like something broke inside me yesterday. Irrevocably. Main tabse use jodne ki koshish kiye jaa raha hain par... to no avail."

Pallavi felt her tears finally break free from the surface of her eyes and slide down her face as Raghav walked towards the glass doors of their room which opened in the gym. He kept a hand over it and shuddered a liquid sigh.

"Yesterday I.. I didn't want to go there. Amma told me you will give me the award. So I... isliye gaya tha. Main stage pe khada tha Pallavi.. tumhe dhoond raha tha.. I just kept staring at the door till I felt the announcer might have exploded in embarrassment. That time mujhe... aisa feeling ayaa na ki main bata nhi paayega tumhe. Woh expectations tutne walaa dard bohot bura chubta hain Pallavi. Bohot bura...

Aur phir tum ayaa. Mandaar ka justification leke.. maine dekha use wahaan. Par tumhe laga main usse hallucinate kar raha hun..

Tum.. tum mera guroor tha Pallavi."

His voice broke even as he struggled to keep his emotions, his pain in check. Pallavi pressed her hand to her throat to dissolve the rock inside there probably. The pain in his voice was choking her.

"Arre mera jaan hi maang leta Saree ka dukaan. Main de deta tumhe khushi khushi.. lekin tumne toh mera guroor hi tod diyaan."

Pallavi let out a sobbing gasp at that and before he could say anything he felt the weight of his wife attach to his back like a limpet. She buried her face in his back and sobbed apologies in his burning skin.

"I am sorry... I am sorry. Please Raghav meri baat ka bharosa karo... Main jaana chahti thi.. phir tum ghar aaye the.. main bahaar jaana chahti thi.. bhaag ke gyi bhi thi.. but baba ne darwaza lock karke chaabi rakh liya tha apne paas... I pleaded, cried.. literally begged him to let me go to you.. but... he thought tum mujhe leke chale jaoge..

Main usse pehle ghar bhi aayi thi but Keerti ne.. mere muh pe darwaza band kar diyaan tha.. Amma ne bhi kahaan ki abhi mat milo.. tum gussa ho.. main aayi thi Raghav... please.. I am sorry.. mujhe maanf kardo please."

Raghav turned around shocked at the revelations. She clung to him immediately as he turned not letting him get out of her desperate clutch. He hugged her back crushingly. Her proximity was an immediate balm to his burning soul. He kissed her on the head trying to stop her crying. But Pallavi couldn't stop. She kept hearing his words feeling them pierce her heart like poisonous arrows. All she could think at the moment was that he was hurt. He was so hurt. Because of her.

Raghav felt tears stream down his face too. Her pain always ached him. No matter what. He patted her head and back soothingly murmuring sweet consolations in her hair. She finally calmed down and separated. Her face was red and blotched and it made him ache for her.

"I am sorry.."

"Bass.. enough. Ho gaya.. yaad hain na.. raat khatam baat khatam? Don't cry sweetheart."

"Nhi.. hum isse aise khatam nhi kar sakte. I didn't want you to get humiliated like this. I never wanted to hurt you. But aisa lag raha hain.. jabse Mandaar lauta tabse main wahi kiye jaa rahi hun.."

Raghav shook his head and held her close to his chest again letting her bury herself inside him. He knew she was tired. As tired as him if not more. She needed rest and they could do this tomorrow morning. So he silently picked her up in his arms and she wordlessly cuddled into them.

He was her home, her haven, her safe place in this cruel world. She wanted to say so many things but his lips silenced her moulding themselves softly around her mouth. She sighed into the kiss and felt herself getting lowered on the bed. And then he got into the bed beside her and kissed her forehead before snuggling in.

She turned yawning like a baby and curled on his bare chest like an overgrown cat contended and he nuzzled his face in her hair falling asleep almost immediately.

3. The horrible harassed parents. Raghav and Pallavi experience parenthood and its less than likeable side effects

Raghav's fatigued sleep was broken for the hundredth time by the squealing wail of his six months old daughter. He groaned and pulled the duvet over his face in a pathetic attempt to block her cries. But of course to no avail.

"Oh for God's sake! Doesn't she have a snooze button?"

He muttered grumpily and sat up rubbing his bleary red eyes. Work had increased by a huge load since he had opened a few international showrooms of Jayati Jewels and was on the process of dealing with a court case along with it... so he had been moving around bone tired nowadays. Then his pretty princess was there to wake him up.. oh sorry.. the whole household up...just when he would be closing his eyes.

"Pallavi!!!! Make her stop please..."

He whined and saw his equally tired wife glare at him with dark eyebags he didn't remember being present on her face as she was moving aroung their bedroom with a screaming Aisha in her arms.

"I am trying Raghav! She doesn't even want to stop it seems.. oh baby.. calm down.. honey... chup chup..chup.."

Raghav felt bad for Pallavi. She was the one suffering as much. Running to balance her health, work and Aisha all together. She really was a Goddess. He must erect statues of her all around the mansion and offer prayers and flowers to those every morning. He had almost fallen asleep seated on the bed when another high pitched cry of his daughter jolted him awake harshly. He sighed wearily.

"Here... give her to me..."

Pallavi gratefully handed Aisha to him while promptly falling eagle spread on the bed.

Yep! He was definitely ordering Farhad tomorrow, to call the craftsmen.

He gently patted his crying daughter on the back and the head while moving blindly in the room mirroring his now snoring wife's prior actions while Aisha kept sobbing in the crook of his neck.

"Sweetheart... chup chup.. baapre kitna royega Aisha.. Nana aur Amma ke neend ke piche kyun pada hain mera jaan.. so jaa na baccha..."

He tried distracting her with various things.. her usual favorites. The curtain, his mobile, the chain on his neck (she had almost strangled him once.. imagine the breaking news that might have created.. Pallavi the traitor had laughed a lot...) yet nothing could stop her incessant cries.

To be frank, both Raghav and the recently awaken Pallavi had started becoming frantic with worry now.

"Maybe we should wake up Amma? Unhe pata hoga na kya karna hain..?"

Pallavi asked moving behind her husband and their kid wrapping in his arms as he moved out nodding to heed to his wife's command. He wouldn't have disturbed Amma had he not been cross eyed by then. Jaya took the crying infant and paced around a bit, then she seemed to examine her grandchild thoroughly. Raghav and Pallavi had almost ventured into their respective dreamland standing in wait (don't judge them.. poor souls).

"I think you both need to visit a doctor."

Jaya said breaking both of their dreams rudely and for good. Both of their panic meter exploded out of control and soon the whole mansion was awake witnessing the formerly Hyderabad's undisputed gangster and his scarier wife running around the place forgetting and messing up things prowling around the hall muttering in their native tongues illegible to all. Aisha was still in her father's arms screaming into his chest though with less intensity and volume than before. Maybe she had exhausted finally.

The doctor reached in record time and the diagnosis began. Pallavi had to mightily restrain her husband from murdering the poor doctor as he poked Aisha severally checking her. Aisha's cries had subsided and she was hiccuping thickly now.

"Nothing much Mr. Rao.."

"Then why was she crying so hard? And so long.."

"Yes, that was because.."

"And you are telling nothing much!!!?"

"Yes but.."

"If anything is wrong then speak up doctor!!"

"Yes, as I was saying.."

"What's wrong with Aisha?"

"...."

"Say something dammit!!!"

"I will say something only when you let me speak sir right?"

Raghav shut up sheepishly as the doctor looked at him amusedly more than frustrated. Pallavi grinded her temples.

"It's nothing major. A stomach infection which.."

" STOMACH INFECTION!!!!"

Both of them screamed in shock and a disgruntled Farhad who was standing beside slapped his face knowing the end result of tonight's fiasco perfectly well. The doctor assured them repeatedly that it wasn't anything major, it would go away with a mild antibiotic. Administering the same to a now groggy Aisha he left with Harish following him out leaving a now sleepy Rao with her two zombie-d parents.

The next morning saw Jaya and Keerti coming downstairs to see Aisha gurgling happily in her customized cradle, speaking in her own baby language to an highly amused Farhad who was bending over her delighted. While Raghav and Pallavi were slumped together on the couch beside looking like someone has murdered their puppy.

"Oh! What happened to both of you? Bhai... bhabi...arre re re.. ro kyun rahe hain aap dono..?"

Keerti asked them bewildered as they sniffled together tearily while Aisha squealed in mirth being lifted by her grandmother in a scoop.

"We are horrible parents!!!"

Both of them cried together making Farhad, Keerti and Amma roll their eyes to high heavens. This was the fifty fourth time in the week they had heard the same thing spoken in the exact same tone while Aisha Rao looked like she was the happiest baby in the whole wide world.

Here we go again...

Loved all the stories but the first one was the best. The past women Ved mentioned and the softness in his eyes just struck me. I would love a TS on the plot

All three were lovely!

I might have laughed one too many times in the first one but it was my favourite one followed by the chaos of baby Rao.

Raghav couldn’t beat Ved but he was knocked down in one punch by Pallavi? Nice.🔥 She’s the strongest person in all senses. 😆 And her dialogue about not have a single day of peace was hilarious! 😂

Baby Rao will be an absolutely chaotic baby given her parents are Pallavi and Raghav.😂 I do not want anything less than baby Rao giving them sleepless nights and being Farhad’s favourite! 🤩

Loved all the 3 snippets. Please do let me know where you post your stories on WP. I love your stories and would definitely want to catch up.

Regarding the 3 snippets, I absolutely adored the baby rao wala snippet. Definitely baby rao would be force of nature child given that Raghav and Pallavi are the parents. I would love to see Raghav going all panicky when his daughter is crying. Farhad and Nikhil would definitely be the baby's favorite uncles - no doubt on that.
