I know about tihar jail.. There you can officially pay for everything.. Even a cooler.. Mind you this is not a bribe.. They even issue some sort of payment cards that your families can recharge with money of i remember correctly.

Yes food is free in jails but it is inedible.. So to get decent food, fan, clean blanket etc you can pay and get better facilities...

Again this is open and official.. Bribing jail officials for preferential treatment is something different altogether
