I guess our fantasy worlds depend on who we are. Aunties, married women relate to, love this kinda shit because they remember the petty, bitchy squabbles they faced(lol I've heard so many in my own family), however the glamor, jewelry, and all that stuff along with a hot guy, seems like a good deal. If you're used to bullshit, I guess it's more tolerable in expensive attire and diamond jewelry. This is why so many shows deal with poor girl with a billionaire concept(and the guys happen to be utter douchebags).
As much as characters and their analysis attracts me, itv shows are generally too infuriating to tolerate. I stay away, but somehow got stuck here, and now it's a bad addiction.
Lol, I'm sharing this for laughs but my mum always tells me she wished she had a MIL that was like those torturous ones in tv because she wanted to become a bravery icon but my gran apparently was harmless. I get where you're coming from with the aunties.
I personally don't care about accessories beyond aesthetics but the general mindset about a whole massive set of accessories being given importance gotta change. Maybe then they can see past the perfect appearance and think about whether expensive items make up for the hardship they go through.
