we have to move on with veeranshu..and give chance o new shows.. especially promote historical shows..how can buxi jagabandu will have grey shades? He is the pride of India..we can't make the character however we want ..it will be disrespect to the feelings of the odisha ppl and legend himself..

Sharad the way portrayed the character was fabulous..the way he showed emotions when he lost war and his son was spectacular..He lived the character of buxi ji..

and coming to new comers we have to give time for them..in one episode one cant impress everyone..when surbhi was given chance why cant these female leads..

i liked danny sura acting..

I am really excited to see the show as it is the story of first rebellion and Indias proud historical character..I dont know about Buxi jagabandu..but definitely will watch it to know how he fought with East india company..and watching it through Sharad performance and personality is a double treat..

After watching three episodes this is what I think:

The good:

Representation of Orissa on ITV

I think it was good though to cast an actress from Orissa as the FL. It gives a more authentic feel.

The story at its very core. I have enjoyed the pace and where the story is headed.

The bad:

Can I just say it???? THE ACTING

God what terrible acting. most actors are facing trouble in trying to get in to the skin of their character. Sharad Malhotra has done a good job but everyone else around him just so so so terrible.

This point is quite obvious: the special effects. They are just plain bad and cringey.

While I want to watch the show for its story enduring such a badly put together show is torture.

Depending on if the effects and acting gets better I may or may not continue watching.

I agree with you in some points like acting..yes the acting of others is not up to the mark..i have seen terrible acting in shows..the other actors except Sharad and the actor who played his brother are not from hindi television..they need time to adjust..and we cant expect this show like a fictional show where songs and dances can be used..

We have to give time to director and other casts.

I agree with your opinion. I saw the first episode of this drama, and the casting of both female leads, in my opinion, is lacking. Princess Kalyani should have been a known actress with a fiery spirit, but this one disappointed me. No offence, but both female actors don't seem to gel well with Sharad in my view, I see a lack of natural chemistry between them. Writers could have easily layered up main male lead character, this one seems little bland.

Today’s (second) episode was a little better, yet found faults with their enactment and execution. I wish they had brought in Eng actors to enact the British commander Fletcher. Obviously it’s a fair skinned Indian actor clowning around with a highly fake accent which is more Indian and less British, and this is why his scenes with the Maharaja were more funny than menacing. Then, it is revealed that he had some Indian connection, which he hates, and is determined to put an end to his Indianness. Still couldn’t make sense of half of what the Eng commander said to his supervisor👎🏼 with their fake, weird accents.

Also, am sure that Fletcher will take advantage of Baxi’s step brother to betray him in future episodes..

Sorry, but I laughed out reading this 🤣.

I always had that image of a lover boy/obsessed in love of Ssharad. 😆 Thanks to Kasam and Naagin. 😛

It's weird to see him in a warrior role. Unless the story is all about love, he is not impressive so far to me. 😕

He already did a historical character in Maha rana pratap..this is not first time..all actors should try each role not just lover boy..

Hrithik roshan did dhoom and jodha akbar.. we have to encourage such shows where Indian history is shown..how many of us know about Buxi jagabandhu? He is the first rebellion against britishers..i didnt know about it..

Sharad is doing great job..the scene where he lost war and his new born son..He was great when he saw the condition of his king when he was released...Entirely he is getting appreciation for his portrayal as buxi ji..No one can play better than him..

Historical characters has some limitations they cant have freedom to play it as fictional characters such as rishi and naagin..

I have watched him only in lover boy type shows so it's weird to see him in such an epic role. No doubt he is a good actor but once an image is imprinted, hard to take it off. As I love historical characters I am yet not convinced with him.

Its ok ..its ur opinion..i respect it..But such historical shows should be encouraged and promoted so the present generation knows about the people who sacrificed their lives for out better future..

I am sad that there is no discussion on such shows and its episodes

if it is saas bahu, one man 1000 wives, illegal affairs then we say n number of discussions..

disappointed

It also depends on how the show is made. Prithviraj Chauhan was a household name. This is because the makers had a good story with great execution. Everyone played their part well in the show ❤️

Here, the execution is lacking. The CGI effects are a joke and Sharad seems to be the only actor who is acting well. I don’t find the character exciting, but Sharad usually acts well. The rest of the cast are just not upto the mark 🤷‍♀️
