Fria, I am unable to come to any conclusion and I am having conflicted opinions.
I just thought of it by reversing genders.
Many rape cases are reported in which the girl closely knew the guy and she was also aware of his feelings for her but still he forces her to get physical(without her consent). In this case, the guy is to be blamed and here we cant say that why the girl went with him when she knew about the guys feelings.
And now I am not able to draw parallels .
Sahu, I posted my thoughts on pg. 59. I know these things often get wrongly interpreted by the people, the society and even the law at times but what you're saying holds true for both men and women. Consent matters for both and when something this unexpected happens, both have the right to feel violated. I don't blame him for what Esha did/didn't do when he was unconscious. I'm mad at Raghav for his decision to drink when he knows it affects him (we've seen him saying he forgot about his drunk state stunts in many of the earlier episodes), more so when Pallavi isn't around to lend him support like she always does (or even Farhad). Drinking with your ex or sharing a room with them is a red flag in itself, and drinking with an ex who just confessed their feelings for you is pura ka pura laal tamboo. It goes for both men and women. One doesn't have to stop living their life but there's a minimal level of caution we all have to take.
