I like third angles in Itv only when the third angle knows that he/she is the third angle and deliberately tries to make the lead jealous and realise their feelings which is why I don't like Disha's entry but there are certain positives to this track too, in my opinion.
So, here it goes.
Raavi was happy when she compared herself with Disha ( especially after comparing her complexion)...So it's still "looks>>>>> everything else" for her. That's her character trait since the beginning of the show, she has always been into outer beauty...worried about her hairstyle, chehra etc in the first episode after the leap..she was trying to adjust to the marriage, thinking of it as destiny, but she has NEVER seen Shiva as the best person in Somnath..yes, she doesn't love Dev, she never had but she doesn't know that yet( when she caught Anita with Gautam photo, she told her that she knows that having someone's picture is not "dosti")...Maybe this track ends with her understanding that surat<<<<<<< sirat.
Please koi gaali mat dena... I am team Shivi through and through. However, I didn't like her "compromise" wala track. She did show Shiva that she deserves better but is willing to compromise as this is what destiny has offered her. As per my understanding of Raavi's character, she isn't much of a fighter.. She took a step back at the wedding when Rishita arrived.. She is ready to compromise on her "happiness" (read khushiyaan) and be with Shiva instead. From my life experiences, good looking people usually don't fight for anyone or anything because they mostly get it served on a plate more easily than others. And such is Raavi too.
She has never been insecure about Shiva. When she confided to Dhara about being scared that her husband would leave her anytime without a second thought, she was more worried about losing her husband, her marriage and not Shiva per se.
But, this time, it's going to be different. Seeing Disha, she might fear losing her Shiva more than losing her husband and her Pandya phamily. She might be realising what she truly meant by the compromise.. She just wanted to hold on to her Shiva kyunki Raavi bhi sirf aur sirf Shiva ki hai.
The last time we got Raavi saying that wo Shiva ki hona chahti thi, wo Shiva ko apna banana chahti thi was when Prafulla started searching for a groom.. Getting married to someone else is the last nail in the coffin of their dead relationship for her and that's when we got the much awaited monologue of our dobi Raavi. That's when she realised that she wouldn't have Shiva in her life anymore and this is what she can never, ever tolerate.
So, keeping my đ¤ for this track and hoping for the best for our Shivi..
This is beautiful â¤ď¸
I don't like third angles, personally I would have preferred shivi sorting out their issues without disha.but raavi really needs a push.
I was looking forward to this track thinking it would be fun to watch disha being all chipku with shiva and raavi being jealous.but what worries me is she is not a part of the plan.
As long as Shiva's character is not butchered I would enjoy this track.
As far as raavi is concerned, as you said she has always given importance to looks.so I didn't find the scene out of character where she compares herself with the new girl scanning her from top to bottom.thats how she is.i like scenes where the characters are in their essence.
