The character of Sanjana herself doesn't fit in a show like Kuch Rang. So when you bring in a character like that, reactions are bound to be out of character. With OG Dev & Sona, Sanjana wouldn't have lasted a day. But now that they have to drag this track, they have to make Dev & Sonakshi out of character. Make Dev dumb, forgiving & passive (he was extreme, ruthless & unforgiving esp when it came to his family) & Sonakshi OTT & dramatic. Basically, to accomodate one character who doesn't even belong to KRP, they have ruined both the leads

Just like Sanjana got hired and gets paid despite not doing any substantial work, Harneet also got hired and gets paid for writing absolute nonsense😆

Yatin ke liye no sympathy. 😆 He was a fattu & couldn't even bring himself to try & win Sonakshi. His pyar was truly ek tarfa & he kept it strictly to himself. Actually Amal should have sang that song for him. The song is so horrendously wasted on Sanju Psycho

As far as I remember, Sonakshi had 4 admirers in S1. 1st one was the love of her life, Dev Dixit., 2nd was Ritwik whom she was all set to marry when Dev broke up with her, 3rd was her fake bf, Neil who expressed his interest in her but Sonakshi wasn't interested in him at all & 4th was her childhood best friend, Jatin.😆😆

I feel Sanju's character was not meant to be the clown she has become now originally. I don't know if I am overestimating the writers or this is the actual possibility that led to this mess ..but I feel Sanju was truly meant to be the 3rd wheel.

Originally they had planned to show Devakshi drifting apart & Dev straying towards Sanju, even if for just emotional support. But then there's our fandom😃 Vehemently protesting a 3rd angle & any sign of cheating from Dev's end. Dev is apparently a one woman man & he cannot even eye another woman! So the writers got scared & discarded whatever they planned originally. Devakshi, after one Bheegi bheegi raat became the picture perfect couple, no more in need of any kind of counseling & Sanju Didi got totally ignored by Dev. Now for whatever reason they has to keep Sana in the show, so they made Dev blind as a bat & clueless as a child and made him "accidentally" lead her on and that is what has led us to this messy ek tarfa pyar 😃

I never thought I could ever dislike Shreya Ghoshal's vocals...but this dreaded ek tarda pyaar bg has achieved just that I don't know why such a beautiful song is being wasted on Sanju Psycho NOTHING connects her to that song.

The lyrics literally says "na maine kuch kaha / na usne kuch suna". Sanju had long passed the stage of kehna sunna when this song randomly appeared

I actually don't even understand on what basis they started this season when they don't even have a story in the first place? The first epi started with ridiculous baby swap & the whole track was a mess. They concluded it in one epi and brought in this third angle which is a disaster of epic proportions. Dev & Sonakshi randomly drifted apart within a year (though they were very happy with eachother in the end of S1) and now they are randomly back together also with a psycho third angle lurking in the background. This is such a sordid mess 🤪

I didn't count Neil because he actively didn't pursue her. Sonakshi got mad at him for his intense storytelling that exposed her lies & she called him idiot or something & he vanished into thin air after that😆 He was there for hardly 2-3 episodes just to make Dev jealous.

Ritvik & Yatin are the only serious developments apart from our male lead Dev Babu 😳

I loved how the fake bf track played out & how jealous Dev felt even though he was then unaware of his love for Sonakshi. The relief Dev felt when he realized that Neil was not Sonakshi 's bf was so palpable & a treat to watch.. Even though Neil was there in just a couple of episodes, it was a memorable & fun track. 😆

There's no way to know for sure, but my guess would be that seasons are in trend now & Devakshi fans were, in quite undeterred manner, asking for season 3 for straight 4 years now. That made them think arrey! Ye toh abhi bhi popular hai! Erica & Shaheer bhi free hai.... let's make another season & put this popularity to some use. Story kuch bhi soch lenge yaar!

They thought an already established couple, from a show adored by the fans, would take less effort to restart than get everything done from the scratch for a brand new show. Simply put, they wanted instant money without having to work for it. They were kind of right in their estimation because the opening episode fetched 0.7 trp. That's pretty good for a Sony show. Devakshi & Kuch Rang were still tempting the audience. But everything went for an instant nosedive because on the very first episode they established Suhana is not Devakshi's daughter which in turn destroyed half of the original season that actually made the show what it was.
