Who deserved best actress for 2003?

Urmilla in Pinjar is my actual winner, but she wasn't even nominated. From the actual nominees though, I think Rani in CC was the best one.

If I have to rank the nominees:

Rani, CC

Hema Malini, Bhagwan

Bhumika Chawla, TN

PZ, KHNH

PZ, KMG

Urmilla, Bhoot

Rani was the best. I think Bhumika from Tere Naam shouldn't even have been there, she barely acted 😆

Didn't deserve best actress award, but I loved Aishwarya in Kuch Naa Kaho and Dil Ka Rishta.

Hema_ji winning for Baghban would have been lovely.

But I was very happy with Preity_ji winning for Kal Ho Naa Ho.

Tabu_ji in Maqbool would be my #1 choice today. She was unreal in that film.

Urmila_ji was good in Bhoot but she was better in Pinjar and even better in Tehzeeb - really one of her best performances.

Rani_ji was ok in Chalte Chalte.

Juhi_ji was fantastic in 3 Deewarein.

Kareena_ji tried way too hard in MPKDH + Khushi.

Aishu_ji didn't try hard enough in DKR and KNK.

Also Preity was not great in KMG but very good in The Hero.

Urmila, hands down. She had three knock-out performances in 2003.

She should have won for 2004 as well (for Ek Haseena Thi).

Preity Zinta deserved the award and got it. She also deserved for Veer Zaara in 2004 but Rani Mukerji snatched it from her for undeserving Hum Tum.

Preity was the legitimate winner for that year. If any Best Actress Filmfare award should be contested, it is Kajol's for Fanaa in 2006.
