I don't know about love but virat was definitely attracted towards sai. He knows she is way better than his yoga love in terms of personality. As per sai he is the only male she got close with after her aaba. She doesn't have option but if she was with her aaba I'm damn sure that virat will be the last person she will choose as her life partner. Though they have made Sam and Sai as bro sis in show but I guess they might have better equation than Sai and Virat.
This 👆🏻... You said it all 🤗🙂
Yes, Virat is attracted and attached to Sai as his wife. There are expectations, more like give and take relationship (conditional).
Maine tumhe jagtap se bachaaya, tumhe shaadi karke laaya mai, tumne mere liye kya kiya...
Or
Tum ehsaan faramosh ho
Or
Aai, Maine sab kuch karke dekha par mujhe kya mila
It's like he admires her personality, her truthfulness, her boldness but these traits may not be appreciated in his wife. A wife should be submissive. When they are on good terms, her traits, even her impulsiveness, are appreciable, like in College fest, but when they are fighting, same traits are worst, she is selfish, uses people for her own benefit. He is trying to mould her to fit his and his family needs, not accepting her with her flaws.
Ghar ka kaam karne se koi naukar nahi ban jaata, saari bahuein karti hai
Har bahu ko apne sasural me adjust karne me wakt lagta hai, tumhe joint family me rehna seekhna hoga
Something like that...
Sai is way out of league of Virat, I think he somewhat realises it, hence the frustration and panic of her not realising her feelings. He is scared that she can move on in life with someone way better than him.
Meri wife nahi to Ajinkya ki wife banogi kya
Ajinkya is like that khatre ki ghanti, the prototype of men he feels, may be better than him for Sai, that's where his insecurity lies.
Sai is attached to him as a husband, because of a genuine gratitude to be there when she had no one and being a respite, bringing her some peace in the form of their banters, in the taana bhara Chavan Niwas on their good days.
It's like he cannot really force her to love him, since she is not submissive types, hence the heartbreak everytime he says that she doesn't love him.
He does not like the attention, care she gives to other family members, be it the love she showers on Aai or Tai, or the pendant she gave to Kaku as a sign of respect.
I have always felt that Virat and Pakhi are more compatible than Sai-Virat, since Pakhi fits in the itinerary of ideal woman, she is the poster girl of patriarchal woman who can fit in his weird criminal family and adjust according to his mood swings.
Tum jaha rakhoge, jaise rakhoge, mai reh lungi.
Sai and Sam could fit together since Sam is more liberated in his thoughts than the rest of Chavans, maybe because he was raised by a single mother or was out of Chavan Niwas most of the time, has more experience of the world.
But, they are established Bro-Sis goals on the show.

I completely agree with you. Virat wants a perfect bahu for his family and he saw that glimps in didi and liked her instantly. Other hand Sai always questioned him from the very begining and back answered him and never hid her anger, frustration towards him. He wants to put everything under the carpet and move on but Sai wants to clear the matters and then move on. From the very begining I have been rooting some one better for Sam because he deserves better and some where I see him happy with Sai because they both value truth, honesty and loyalty. Where as Virat is more towards a perfect wife and Bahu

Yes, that's why he sides with Didi most of the time. Also, he has selective hearing problem, that's why, half the time he doesn't listen what is being conveyed but the tone in which it is said is what matters to him. Didi would always be someone who lacks guts to confront, talk sweet to elders because they are Virat's family, also instigate everyone against Sai in that sweet sugary tone, doesn't matter what poison she is vomiting.
Virat harps about honesty, lacks it. Once Sai said
aap me 1% himmat nahi hai sach sweekarne ki
Also, how can he accept such embarassing Vaada of keeping his bhabhi in his heart. His image will be affected. What will Sai, the girl he married and has feelings for, react and think about a person who portrayed himself as a 'Man of ideals', so keeps on trying to push under the carpet.
Sam still has chance, he came back to divorce P, should do it. He will get a closure. He should run back to Mahabaleshwar, can find someone better but won't happen.
Sai also should embark upon her solo journey of becoming a doctor and finding genuine love. This also wouldn't happen.

I agree that he have selective hearing problem and because of this didi is taking advantage of him. He knows what didi wants from him and he should have exposed her infront of family but God knows why he didn't. He thinks that he is helping Sam to have a good life but what he doesn't realise that because of his silence he is ruining his brother's life along with Sai's. I don't have any sympathy towards Pakhi because she was choice from the very begining and she is so stupid that she chose all wrong options and ruined her own life and now she wants to ruin other three lives. I would love to see Sam and Sai's individual journey towards their goals because that's more better than this toxic thing

Na, if Sam and Pakhi separate, it will be like a blot on him and his character... It will be like Sam's divorce happened because his Sita jaisi wife was in love with Lakshman jaise brother. It's not about helping Sam, it's about reducing his guilt of forcing Sam and didi in an unwanted marriage, fulfilling his stupid friendship wala vaada and the saviour complex where what he thinks and does is because of betterment of all. Didi is the most stupidest character (vamp) in the whole of ITV.

You are right he has this saviour complex where he thinks that what ever he is doing is for others betterment but fails to realise that he is pushing them towards a disastrous situation in life. This same complexity made him to marry Sai. He knew sai was not ready to get married to him and he could have easily convinced the villagers that he will take care of her with out getting married but nope he went ahead and pushed sai into an unwanted triangle without her fault.
