Movie of the week: Jeans (India's 1998 Oscar entry )

I have watched this film twice now but I have yet to figure out why it was sent as India's entry for the Oscars? 🤣

Did the Federation think that the Oscars are beauty awards and that sending a film featuring Aishwarya Rai will ensure they win? 🤔

In this movie, they show Americans as evil people and the Indian actor plays the saviour! They must have been out of their minds sending this trash for the Oscars.

Embarrassing. But yes the music was good. And loved Lakshmi and Aish together.

Lol I really wonder what the reaction of the jury at the academy would have been when they saw this crazy movie 😆

I love it though. Aishwarya looked so pretty in all her films during this phase, just following after her Miss World win. The music is fantastic, and I also think her and Prashanth had really good chemistry in the film ⭐️
