Let me watch the episodeđđź
I fell in love with the song Chunar watching this episode. My heart bled for Shaurya. This poor boy could not control his emotion, the way he was trying to pinch his lips, that first tear rolling down his cheek, despite all his effort, the hesitant touch of his mother's hand and the song....đđđđ
Jag se haaraa nahin mein
Khud se haaraa hu maa đ
Whenever a child is in need, in pain, the mother is there to protect him,
Maayi teri chunariyaa lehrayi...
I interpret this song where the chunar is the symbolism of a mother's protection for her child, it is his shield, his roof, everything.
Unfortunately, Shaurya never experienced it and this is eating him inside especially when he can observe Anokhi being the recipient of that protection.
Aastha coming out of her coma due to Shaurya's touch Initially it made me very emotional but when trying to understand the message from it, I was not that happy. Why? It is showing Aastha as the mother pining for her son and him being her saviour. Isn't that selfish on her part?
Her son is her reason to recover, but what about him? Is he her possession because she gave birth to him? I did not like this message. As if because she gave birth to him, he should be indebted to her?
Aastha's happiness while it made her look human and motherly grated on my nerves.
Shaurya at home had to lie to BM about his visit what type of relationship do BM and Tej have with him that he cannot confide his feelings, has to lie. Definitely not parental or unconditional love from Tejvi. Shaurya is their trophy son whom they want to dictate his life. Good for Devi that she knows Shaurya does not trust her as a mother.
Anokhi is very sharp and recognises that there is something between Shaastha, but Aastha refuses to acknowledge it. Why? In what way Anokhi knowing this would change anything. There is no logic in this.
Devi and the way she confronted Aastha in hospital is the cheapest act that can be shown. She has no respect for a sick personđĄ.
It is good that Aastha told her off, but her reasons for abandoning Shaurya to Devi does not stand especially knowing how the Sabherwals was. Aastha has a lot to answer for Shaurya's upbringing and miserable rich life. Shaurya is emotionally handicapped by the behaviour of Shaastha and Tejvi.
The end of the episode Shaurya questions Aastha why she has come back in his life. I see a Devi bhakti here questioning Aastha not Shaurya Sabherwal. At the end of the day, Devi has maimed Shaurya...
The slightest of fear is what is sometimes needed for anyone to take action. Gayatriâs effort inspite knowing Shauryaâs hatred for his mom has made him realise the needful at the right time.
This scene is one of my most favourite scenes and have watched it countless times and still in awe of kvâs performance and the scene as a whole.
Shauryaâs hesitation outweighed his new fear of not being able to see his mother if something untoward happens as the hope that Gayatri instilled in him forced his steps unknowingly towards Astha.
As he approaches he recollects his beautiful childhood memories with his parents and is sad to see her lying inThe hospital bed. The scenes are juxtaposed and this brings in an additional effect to add to his inner turmoil.
He is shocked at how Gayatriâs words that Astha might recover seeing him have come true. For a person who believed all his life that his presence never affected his mother, it was shocking to see that his tender touch sort of brought back life in her. A mother unconsciously lying in the bed felt her sonâs presence shouldâve made him realise atleast for the moment how precious he was for his mom. It looked as if he wanted to move closer and hug her when he saw her fingers move. But it was too difficult for him to let go of his in built feelings ( not exactly hatred at this moment, may be ego) to face her and be with her.
But these positive thoughts cannot survive in a sea of negativity that he is in( Sabherwal house). How I wished he realised Gayatriâs worth and shared his thoughts with Gayatri rather than BM in the future.
Rest Iâll continue laterâŚ.,

As far as KV acting is concerned, this was the episode I knew an actor called KV existed. I was so moved when Gaytri was talking to him and he was trying his best to hide his real feelings, but his eyes gave him away. I think Gaytri knows that Shaurya loves his parents a lot but because of Tejvi's constant harping he has grown a hatred towards Shaastha.
Aastha coming back to life due to Shaurya's touch was meant to let Shaurya know that he counted for Aastha, but as you say, Devi will always twists matters to blame Aastha for everything...
Shaurya should have moved out of SM for his peace of mind.
When i started with the episode, I honestly did not think it would get emotional to this extent. I did not expect Shaurya to cry or hold his mothers hand. This goes to show that shaurya has not forgotten anything. Somewhere he is still that 4 year old child who craves his mothers love and affection.
The 'Chunar' song made it so much more impactful. The lines were opposite to what shaurya has experienced in mother's love. That lone tear that falls from his eye looking at his mother's condition, broke my heart. Shaurya cares and he cares too much! He is so wrecked emotionally that he does not know how to process any of his emotions.
Aastha, catches a glimpse of Shaurya. though shaan chalks it to her dream but she knows Shaurya came. She is happy. I understand but why was she not around for Shaurya to care? Maybe this gesture by Shaurya gave aastha the hope that things could get better and hence she tried to maintain a connect post this.
Devi is pure evil here. She understands where Gyatri and Kanchan are off too and plans her timing in such a way that even Shaurya misunderstands. I loved that aastha stood her ground.

This was the first time I heard the song ( like I heard many others on Saakk for the first time too!) and absolutely loved how it was used to convey the emotions of the scene. Shauryaâs eyes for those 2-3 seconds just pulls your heartstrings.

To me it somehow symbolizes that they were touched by the otherâs presence, how much ever absent they were in each otherâs lives.
Aastha, for all her faults as a mother was responsible for bringing Anokhi into Shauryaâs life. Shaurya for all his faults as an angry, hot-headed male chauvinist was responsible in some way for bringing his mom out of coma. A little dramatic, but for the sake of ITV Iâll let it go đShaurya at home had to lie to BM about his visit what type of relationship do BM and Tej have with him that he cannot confide his feelings, has to lie. Definitely not parental or unconditional love from Tejvi. Shaurya is their trophy son whom they want to dictate his life. Good for Devi that she knows Shaurya does not trust her as a mother.

đđ lol same! I did not understand it at all. The cat was out of the bag when Aastha herself came to SIAC to submit Anokhiâs TC. In fact Shaurya knew she was related to Aastha the day he met her at the library itself. So when Aastha knew that Anokhi will continue to be targeted at SIAC, she mightâve as well told her that Shaurya is her son! đ¤Śđťââď¸ but then ITV shock factor with camera zooms wouldnât have a chance and episodes wouldâve ended sooner. đ¤ˇââď¸đ

Pitting people against their own people is the lowest kind of douchebaggery that can exist. So frustrating that it happens all the time in families. Shaurya guillable Sabherwal is totally maimed by Devi and the Tamasha has been witnessed by Anokhi.
Yâall are doing a great job with the reviews! đđđ

Every time thereâs an interaction between Shaurya and Aastha, KV nails the scenes with his nuanced brilliance. The expressions of pain and lingering sadness barely last for a few seconds, but it really leaves and impact on the viewer.

KV is a master at these scenes. No ott acting just a smooth transition from one emotion to the next and no need for background score highlighting any emotion.

Yes! I recently noticed that kv gives a lot of micro expression changes in a scene...which makes it look like he is trying to control some inner turmoil. And I love it!... honestly never knew kv could be so good with emotional scenes.
I remember the scene when shaurya and Aastha reconciled their differences...what a scene..I know it was rushed..but that hug...it looked like a 4 year old child hugging his mother.
One of the reasons I stuck to the show was that I really liked KV's acting. Weird thing to say but both kv and deba 'cry' very well. It looks natural and painful.
