PART 3
"But Anna how is this even possible. Pallavi is the one who took everything from us. Because of her we lost our assests, our company and above all our city." Farhad reasoned not able to understand anything.
"I know but another fact that i am well aware of is that whatever we've been left off with is because of Pallavi." Raghav replied back in a calm voice,
"But you're forgetting Raghav. It is because of this women that you had to run around courtrooms and fight cases. It took us one month to get everything over with, the biggest nightmare of our life." Kirti fought back.
"A nightmare that could have been your death in realty if not for me Kirti. " Pallavi snapped back. Enough of the accusations on her.
"You do not get to say a thing Pallavi." Kirti wasn't gonna back off.
"I get to say everything Kirti and you're bound to listen to that."Pallavi had her claws out for the lioness was ready to fight when she felt her lion keep a strong grip on her waist. Turning back she found him blinking his eyes assuringly.
"Kirti, Amma, Farhad, just hear me out please." Raghav requested and hence everyone nodded.
4 months back, Hyderabad.
Raghav had just gotten back from his business meetings with The Medina's and they had promised to send him the pink diamonds for his government project. It wasn't easy though, all the bloodbath and illegal woking but Raghav knew he needed Medina's to survive as much as they needed him. As he entered his room, he found his beautiful wife sleeping like a baby hugging his pillow, oh how much has he missed her. It's been a week since he had realised his love for her but wasn't able to confess. It would sound abnoxious but it was true, the Don of Hyderabad was nervous to confess his love to his wife. With slow steps he walked to her side of the bed making himself comfortable beside her as he stroked her hair sitting at the very edge. She looked so peaceful, everytime he looked at her face, his face screamed him to tell her the truth, about how he worked, what he worked and how dangerous it was but it was her morals that scared him more than the supposed danger. What if she decides to leave him? He can't afford that. Everytime he tried telling her; his heart would stop beating for a second. It had been just a few days that they had started to bond again after getting all the misunderstandings cleared but he still wasn't sure if she'll understand him over such a delicate issue.
His chain of thoughts were broken by Farhad's text message infroming him the delivery of those pink diamonds that he had to collect before any police authority got ahold of it. Giving a light peck on her forehead, he promised to tell her the truth after sunrise and let the fate decide for them.
The road was silent and dark since it was almost midnight. The delivery person was supposed to meet them here but was late again. Raghav glanced his watch for the millionth time as his phone kept buzzing with Farhad's messages asking for an update. After what felt like ages did the person arrived on a bike as he handled him his pouch; Raghav nodded before sliding a packet of his payment to him after which the biker ignited away. But Raghav felt something fishy and oh boy it was; as soon as he glanced at the said pouch; it was clear to him that the little bundle was changed and hence started the chase between the racers as Raghav sped his car at maximum speed behind the racer.
He stomped him foot on the accelerator as he side stepped the brakes simultaneously, the biker giving him a tough competition. Shifting into second gear, he flipped the car right beside the speeding vehicle all ready to cut it through as they moved towards a lone cliff in the outskirts of the city. Instantaneously he was thrown back into his seat as the two vehicles came to a halt. All of a sudden a loud pop disturbed the smooth roar of his engine. Halfway down their racetrack his engine shut off and forced him to coast the car to the edge of the line. The biker too came to a halt watching nowhere to go.
"There is no point running now. Nobody can outcast The Raghav Rao." Raghav smirked getting out of the car.
"Give me what's mine and i'll let you go." He spoke again after getting no reply. The biker got down and that's when it felt different. The person was wearing a black jean outfit paired with a leather jacket over the top. Seconds later he felt his heart drop to the ground as the person pulled off their helmet and he came face to face with the bane of his life aka his wife, Mrs Pallavi Raghav Rao.
"And what if i don't" Came her snarky reply as she kept the helmet on the bike and stood leaning towards it.
"What are you doing here?" he heard himself ask, too shock to even understand.
"Ruining your plans. Isn't that what i always do, shouldn't be a shocker anymore." she smirked playing with the pouch in her hand.
"Pallavi this is no joke. Give that thing back to me. Let's go home and we'll talk okay." he calmed himself down.
"Uhuh Husband this is going straight to where it belongs, it actually is in the right hands if i hint you." she smiled taking a few steps forward.
"What do you mean?" he asked with confusion written all over his face.
"The sustance of theft is always safe in the hands of the law. Isn't it?" she whispered right beside his ear and smiled watching her effect on him.
"You are-?" Raghav was more confused now.
"FBI Agent Pallavi Ahuja. Happy to have met you Mr Rao." she laughed folding her hands infront of her chest ready to watch him squirm to her but that never came and hence her eyebrows quibbered in confusion.
"What? You were waiting for me to react. Sorry let me give you a surprise reaction." Raghav mocked inching closer, "Next time try to disable all the CCTV's before you investigate in my den." he added pulling her closer by her waist.
'So you knew?" she asked matching his intensity.
"a couple days." he smirked back.
"So why not outs me to everyone?" she asked.
"Because I Love You." he whispered near her ear, dangerously close, "Can take a bullet if you want me to." he added touching their noses.
"Love hmm?" she mumbled as he nodded.
"And why did you run away out of Hyderabad with the diamonds, the headquarters was clearly in the opposite direction?" he asked in a whisper inhaling her scent.
"Because I Love You too." she replied with a smiled dropping the pouch on the ground and encircling her hands behind his neck. The two looking deep into eahc others eyes with a new raw passion, happy to have confessed their feelings for each other. Raghav held her face with his palm her while her mouth was already waiting like a question. He was not gonna make it out to be something that it wasn’t: It was perfect—Pallavo’s soft lips against the bite of the liquor and sugary dessert still on her tongue. She did more than just not stop him. She kissed him back.
Present Time
"So you both knew about each other?" Amma asked.
"Yes Amma. even though i was here to investigate your son. I couldn't help but fall in love with him." Pallavi replied looking at Raghav.
"So Pallavi instead of giving the real diamonds gave the department those fake ones saying that i was the one who outcasted her." Raghav nuzzled into her neck.
"So you were always on our side?" Farhad asked to which Pallavi nodded.
"But the problem arrived when dad got to India to work alongside on the case and he was desperate, he needed answers. Also Sunny was constantly on my back hence, i had to do something. " Pallavi started to explain.
"I explained my position to Raghav and we decided that we'll divide his assests into two unequal halfs that is 1/3rd of it that the world will know of and the left over 2/3rd that we'll be saving." she added.
"And Pallavi had the perfect plan. I unloaded all my data and hidden files onto her as we divided the assets and with the help of some of her computer tech friends we tranfered the 2/3rd assets in various forged bank accounts that nobody could ever trace." Raghav buzzed in a few points.
"Perks of being in the FBI for a really long time. You get amazing contacts with various suspects that may come in handy sometimes. So now all i had to do was give the 1/3rd data one by one to dad who after 3 months barged into the house with the arrest warrent and search squad. But the good point was that more than half of our wealth was actually safe with us under pretentious names. Dad thought that he outcasted Raghav and won when in reality Raghav just paid back the legal amount that was due on him after all the tax envasion." Pallavi shrugged explaining the final part.
"So we lost almost nothing?" Kirit asked after a long pause.
"Not a single important penny. What we lost was the original amount that was due on us which was neither profit nor loss for me." Raghav stroked Pallavi's arm.
"So when Dad took Raghav into custody, he out of protectiveness sent me away but instead of laying low. I converted all our blank bank accounts to legal ones creating charitable trust that none can look into. Bought this house for us and bought the shares of the company Raghav will be taking over in here to have a new start." Pallavi concluded looking at everyone with concern for any questions.
"That is genuis." Farhad exclaimed clapping his hands like a kid.
"I know. I got the perfect person." Raghav praised her.
"so you double crossed your own father?" Kirti asked in disbelief.
"Yes or either he would have double crossed me after all Sunny matters to him the most and i would be locked in a castle somewhere as his delicate princess." Pallavi gave a sarcastic smile.
"I Love You. And you my love are the smartest person ever." Raghav kissed her cheek.
"I know my love because i am the queen of double crossing." Pallavi encircled her hands around his neck touching their foreheads.
"Okay my head is spinning. Let's eat something now." Amma suggested.
"You guys relax here. I'll get the snack out okay?" Pallavi smiled as she made her way towards the kitchen.
"Anna bhabhi is amazing." Farhad complimented her.
"After all she's my chocie." Raghav replied with a proud smile.
10 minutes later
The door of the mansion busted open sending in commandos who walked in armed with a leader in front.
"excuse me who the hell are you?" Raghav shouted towering over the man.
"FBI Europe Department. You are under arrest Mr Raghav Rao for all the illegal works you've done in your entire lifetime." the man replied commanding his officers to seal the house.
Raghav and the others were stunned with the sudden revelation when his phone pinged with a message.
The Game's over my love. Thank You for helping me. If it wasn't for you, i would have never gotten to your secret data and hidden business files. I owe this one to you. I Love You but maybe i love my work more - Pallavi Raghav Rao.
Raghav couldn't believe his eyes, hence, he shrugged the officers off of him and ran into the same direction that she walked in only to find the huge kitchen window open. He looked down to find the love of his life hopping onto a bike as she winked at him and in an instant his phone pinged with another message.
Told you i am the queen of double crossing. - Pallavi Raghav Rao.
And with a final bye using her fingers; she put on her helmet and roared the engine in the blink of an eye towards the sunset, ready for her next project.
