This was a really nice scene but they really ruined it with her saying she shouldn't celebrate because she is 32 and others get married at (22???my hindi is bad). In the scenes before she reminded everyone it was 2021 so why would she even think that 32 is old. That is a perfectly normal age to get married in!!!!

Anyways....major annoyance aside- Loved when ram came in☺️

Yeah, the second promo could have been directed better i guess.

With age you actually mellow down. Like the birthday hats, pom poms ,balloons which must be fun at 10-11 yrs may not excite you at 20. It is difficult for a 32 year old woman, to behave like a Jab We Met movie kind of a 22-23 year old bubbly, chirpy bride.. I think that is what the makers wanted to convey.

It is not the age that has exhausted Priya . It is the struggle, betrayal and pain of all these years that has made her indifferent . But the promo looked as if Priya is unhappy only because she is 32 and not in her 20's and this in contradiction with the first promo where Priya is shown to be completely nonchalant about society's expectations and having absolutely no regrets about being in 30's and unmarried

In my opinion, Priya does not regret being unmarried at 30's ,that part of the promo is little weird, but having faced infinite taunts from people for crossing the society accepted marriageable age, this sudden new attention about being the bride, all this limelight, will only make her uncomfortable and not excited. So her not being excited makes sense.

My complaint is with the promo and what she said. They spend so much time and money promoting the show. The least they can do is be considerate of their wording and how it can have an unintentional impact on people watching in.

I come from a family that has many people getting married in their 30's so for me this isn't a big deal. What is even more shocking to me is people in their early 20's getting married. But Priya just made a big deal out of this for nothing.

Its not ruined, its reality touch here the ugly truth

We think our age is normal to get married at 30s or late 30s but society & family thinks the opposite for a women, its always the women targetted here

I am saying this,i have been listenting to this taunts in my mid 20s age from my own family & i assure you the mouth is toxic when they speak to my mom in such a way becos i am still unmarried & my mom was married at the age of 23 yrs

I got married in my 30 yrs old still the mouth is not shut oh women should get married at mid 20s & 30s is late & all

They don't care whether the groom is suitable suitor for the bride or not just get married and ease down the burden. There are such people in our families too

Its the mindset of people & society that girls should get married at 20s

The worst in some parts of the country especially india & china girls are married at the age of 8 yrs old it still exist and thats what we call ballika vadhu

What was shown in the promo is reality,it still exist thats sad becos i agree 30s is not late, its the right time

We get it too why Priya is saying that too since her mom & sisters got married at the age of their 20s

The makers are just showing mirror to how the society actually functions. You may not be able to relate to it because of your own experience and surroundings.

But a girl crossing 20's and being unmarried is still a stigma. In every family function, that girl would have to face raised eyebrows, random relatives trying to be match makers, constant gossiping , speculations, as to why is she unmarried, does she have a past, is there anything wrong with her etc etc.

I have seen this so much around and therefore can completely relate to every dialogue of Priya. I felt her pain when she said " Mai koi charity case hu".

Even in workplace, all people are not decent. Students do take interest in teacher's personal life. And i know the extent to which they can stoop low, because i have firsthand seen my fellow collegemates passing worst of worst comments on female teachers.

I know from where Priya is coming from. Her dialogue in the promo where she says "ab tak college me shadi na hone ke liye comment karte the, and ab shadi hone pe comment karte hai" . This is nothing but pure truth .

I don't think Priya made a big deal out of nothing. What she has been through is not an exaggeration but reality. No matter how much strong face you put up before the society, a part of your self esteem is affected and the day you finally get married , you do go through a whole lot of emotions, it is very normal.

A lot of women, who have gone through this would be able to relate to Priya.

I think you misunderstood what I said. Her pain is real and she has suffered a lot. But I also think the promo could have handled the entire thing much better. Sure she could have said that she doesn't need to be as excited as a 22 year old but there could have been a third person to be the one to say "whats the big deal in that and you, Priya are also allowed to be happy". It didn't even have to be a third person either. It could have been a voice over. It was a teaching moment for the show and promo and they could have done a better job.

Yeah I agree about the promo part. It could have been deeper. As I said before , to any neutral audience it would seem from the promo that Priya , does not want to celebrate just because she is 32 , but actually it is not just the age , but the struggle, betrayal ,taunts and pain of all these years .
