I am sure Anuj liked that Anupama trusted him enough to lay bare her soul. He appreciated her honesty and that she considered him worthy of being told the truth and nothing but the truth. He has believed Anupama to be such and to be proved right, yes, must have only validated his love for her. But that apart, he is human and he does have that new found enemy, umidh (hope) and that enemy must have dealt him a little pang.
