I read in the SD4 discussions here that their finale is on 9th. But a lot of their ex-contestants have arrived and are rehearsing. They feel that the Navratri Special is a standalone program. They are fairly clued in as a lot. So I will go with them.

So Idols are appearing twice? Once on SD4 and once in that Navratri Special?

They are not appearing on SD4. That is supposed to be a rumour spread by Idol fans which includes us. 🤣

To be fair, it looked like that from Sayli's story - her background seemed similar to the SD4 set.

Anyway, we will find out soon enough. The SD4 clan actually mentioned that the stage is different 🤣

But, finales are supposed to be on a grand scale. So I don't know what they are talking about.

SRGMP 2021-22

I am getting increasingly confused about the talent competing on this show.

We have one announced name - Yumna. But a lot of ex idol contestants and some real old timers seem to be in the fray.

This one has Subhadeep Das from Idol11, Krishnakali from Idol10 and Snigdhajit (Zee Bangla/Voice). Singdhajit's own post confirms his participation.

The 2nd one has Sonia Gazmer from Idol 10, Parasmani Rai (who shares a congratulatory post on his timeline) and the poster herself is a senior singer who appears to be talented. Incidentally the entire lot is from Bengal.

My impression is that there are a lot of older, even married, singers who made the cut.
