In my opinion Freeloading is many times generalized. A man can lose his job and have difficulty in getting a new one. Will his dependence on his in laws come under freeloading? Also many a times freeloader do lot of mundane tasks which actually helps the household to run smoothly. So I think somewhere the society is biased and still has a long way to go in accepting men who can't work a job and earn money.
None of the above arguements apply to people like Sunny.😆
😆 I gave my opinion keeping Sunny in mind😆
What if a man can't work a job and earn money Jean? What if son in law decides to stay home and cook for family and look after their needs? Shouldn't he get same respect as bahu of house? ( assuming his wife earns to take care of their personal needs)
Thanks for raising this point. I was thinking about the same thing earlier.
Yes, putting aside Sunny, I agree with you.
Why is it considered derogatory and what's wrong with a woman choosing to stay with her family and her husband moving in with her?
There are men who earn a living and provide for their family but live with the in-laws. It doesn't make them less of a man.
Sunny is not a man, he is just a low life.😆
All my arguments are only for real men who actually face hardships in life and get mocked for their failure.

Hmm... I do feel for them but I didn't see such persons (Man especially) till now. But saw some real free loaders whose only work is to poke their nose in whatever their wife work to earn
Thank you for reply. Though Sunny deserves all the insults thrown at him, this question is not only about him.
I have seen many men who at the times of distress take shelter at their in laws and are ridiculed for it. In our society a woman living at her husband's and a man living at his wife's are seen in totally different lights. I have seen many good men being disrespected for it.
sadly yes… its a harsh reality in our society but I think norms are changing.. my cousin married to a guy who is living in his naani(maternal grandmother) home… she was living with her daughter and then son in law in her house then she passed away and now her grandson is married to my cousin…and I have many such examples…
even girl’s mother living with her even after marriage is getting acceptance in society…
so times are changing albeit slowly…
