As much as I love Danish, the character of Danish Akhtar was made for Humayun. Don't get me wrong, Danish would've nailed the role performance wise, but physically he looks just so royal and elite that it would be hard to accept Mehwish leaving him, if ukwim. We always see this guy experimenting with his look for every character. The hairstyle, the wardrobe look, and he also changes his physique as per the requirement like he did for Shahzaib. He even went to the lengths of looking older for it. Highly commendable to that. How many actors out there experiment with their looks for every character? Other than Ahmed Ali akbar (and ofcourse our Danish), i cant remember anyone else. You literally just see these guys in the same look for every character.. coming back to DT, bulking up and looking out of shape , now that would be a challenge for Danish i feel. Not just him, even for us. People didn't take it well when he came out with his Shahzaib hairstyle itself. Phir yeh toh if he becomes bulky, people will be traumatized or what. Lol. So yeah, he has never gone to this length for a character, He has always been his hero self no matter what.

Like lets imagine, he was offered Danish's role for real. Now, it is Khalil ur Rahman Script and of such level, Nadeem Baig is the director, its a Humayun production, Ost was also top notch, became the show's identity and ofcourse the star cast was great. I think it would be hard for anyone to tell no!

As a fan who has followed him out and out be it recently itself, what do you guys think, would he have gone for this gamble? And transformed himself for this particular role? I think maybe, yes, he would ..

I think it would be difficult for him to gain weight. Bulking up and gaining fat are different and for someone like Danish who has never been over weight, hell who has no belly fat (!), it might be an actual challenge.

Look at him as Raju Rocket na bro, on the first page, even after that dark makeup, it looks like he's playing dress up 😆 Even as Sallu in Wrong No....he nails it performance wise but looks wise it would be difficult.

And if Danish would've taken up the role...again its not just about only one character. If one gets miscast esp in a performance-oriented drama like MPTH, the show would've lost its essence and wouldn't be as popular as it became.

From health perspective...if he's gain weight and then try shred the fat, it would impact his body and face too...30s onwards its not healthy to have sudden weight fluctuations and since Danish would try lose it quickly (given he has to take up new roles), it would impact even the collagen on his face.

Maybe if Khalil sahab writes something for a rich guy or upper middle class guy, it would work.

Danish is someone who is a fitness freak. Not because he is handsome by looks or he is an actor, had he been a normal MBA which he is or in corporate sector or a businessman , he would still be a fitness freak. I know many people like this. Uska nature he aisa hai.

See if danish would have taken danish role then ayeza saath nai jachti bilkul bhi. Caste hi badalni padti, then fir bulky hona hai ya nai hona hai wo rest of the caste pe depend karta hai.

We have stereotyped him as rich brat boy abhi tak which is not good just like imran abbas bhi waise hi roles karta hai but danish acts better.

Well danish is very very conscious about his looks on camera that is quite visible in any role. Use mehar posh mein thoda sa apna look change karna chaiye tha, itna heroice de diya ki vo ayeza ke samne bechara lag hi nai paa raha tha.

For danish to do such roles he needs to mellow down in his body language. Just like i wrote yesterday that he should do a role where wife is abuser or raped or something and he takes the revenge. Is role mein even if he is a middle class corporate guy but revenge track mein vo fir heroic aajayega.

Danish ko bechare role se pehle he should definitely come up with comedy. Have you seen prem gali? Farhan saaed and sohai ali the he would have done that role at quite ease but i think he is just not ready to come out of that rich boy shell. And we as audience are also not that ready to accept him in any other roles for that matter.

I have so far seen 3-4 khalil ur rehman shows, if danish was well suited in any so i would say imran abbas role in mohabbat tumse nafrat hai, ayeza thi usmein and shehzaad sheikh tha.

I have not seen pyare afzal or mann mayal to abhi i cant say usmein.

Baaki mere pas tum ho was a team project, as in you cant say ayeza has acted better than humnayun or humanyun has acted better than adnan siddique.

MPTH was not a one man show or not a one woman show. It came out perfection because everything was a team effort.

Now coming to danish shows if i just compare ishq hai and deewangi then deewangi is a better team than ishq hai. Deewangi you might say its a one man show and i agree but agar hiba aise behave na karti to humein danish ki evil ness itni zyada ubhar ke audience at large na pasand aati.

Direction mein bhi deewangi is a much better show than ishq hai.

Now coming to hiba, i personally dont like her but audience at large loved nageen. And i have said it again again hiba ko itna loud hona script mein hi tha, so that humesha yahi lage ki vo interested nahin tha. Nageen fell for him only after the conversation she overheard on phone of sultan and his chacha durrani. Nageen ko bhi koi bahaut ekdum mohabbat nai thi use kabhi bhi but when he played off the game she started hating him.

Nageen and sultan ke scenes mein jab bhi use chid dikhana hota tha vo cringe ki bajaye loud hojati thi and mentally retard lagti thi, which i personally didnt like but script mein yahi tha then uska vo haroon mummy and sister in law ko yahi lagta tha she is mentally ill. As per me kuch aur ho sakta tha uska trauma dikhane ke liye but whatever it was audience at large loved nageen too.

Ishq hai for me was a totally one man show agar beech ke 6-8 episoded hata do toh. Minal ne bhi end mein ake chawwal mar hi di thi. Ishq hai mein na har koi apni kar rha tha but not in deewangi.

Danish has pulled off really well in the last 3-4 episodes of ishq hai. Ab track hi shaq wala tha but whatever it was he has still played well.

Yes, i think you guys have some really valid points here. I agree to it.

Just want to see him in something big scale, serious mature project like MPTH sometime soon. He deserves all the recognition, success and popularity! ❤️
