Didn't follow Bishal enough to know about him, all I know is Florina or whoever handles her account unfollowed him on Instagram🤣 but I agree poverty stories are HUGE in India lol. Speaking of Instagram, some more gossip but I saw a screenshot of Pari's mom leaving a hate comment under one of the Super Dancer posts where she was like "...all kids are talented but sony only is bothered with Florina"... it was written in hindi so I think word for word it was more "Sony bas Florina Florina kar thi hai." Why do parents do that? Some Flo fans are mad, but the people I've been talking to decided to ignore it thankfully.

Lmao I don't follow Bishal now either, he's grown up to be very different 😆 But loved him during the show + he had Vaibhav's backing. Poverty stories haven't really worked much in SD though. Bishal's story was more of an innocent child's first time in Mumbai. And ofcourse Jorhat was a huge vote bank back then.

And tf, do parents really feel that way 🤬 I was hoping the Florina hate online didn't result in people treating her differently irl, but looks like that's exactly what's happening 😕 And if anything, the channel isn't huge on Florina, it's the public 🤪

It's suprising though how these reality shows present kids from the North East vs the rest of India. Spriha lives in Guwahati and Flroina lives in Jorhat both of which are some of the biggest cities of Assam filled with urban crowd. Pretty sure that Moregaon bit for Spriha was to add some more emotion to the show and her story. Not sure if they did something similar for Florina? Even Gunjan is from Guwahati but I remember in her intro on D3, they showed her dancing around in a village. Looking at the the way they dress offstage on their social media accounts and their old dance videos, it's pretty visible that they come from financially stable families or atleast has the access to modern facilities for their dance practice. But somehow they are all shown as talented kids coming out from villages which unfortunately gives a wrong impression to the audience who think North East India is only filled with villages. 😆 I don't see them doing something like that with kids from any other zone of India.

I agree a bit. There's no way Gunjan grew up in the village. She was already good in the audition. But Flo was never portrayed that way though. Her family background was never shown, even though it's interesting. She is actually a village kid. I was surprised to see her farm videos with cows and stuff cuz I had taken her to be a city kid 😆 And I don't think it's restricted to NE kids tbh. Remember how Tejas was portrayed as a gully boy? Idk if that was the way he lived back then, but he's very much a city boy now 😆 As for Spriha, yeah her hometown was used to add spice to her story. But we wouldn't know for real, maybe her community did give her huge support.

Whatever they do works! People like me get fooled🤣 Haven't really followed Gunjan enough to know about her but in the beginning I genuinely thought Florina was from some old village in Assam but then once I saw her wearing a Zara kids shirt and I remember wondering hmmmm, there's Zara in the villages lol. I shop at Zara and I'm outside India lol. Such a strange concept lol. Plus the printer in her home...I'm convinced her family's doing fine. It's weird that the villages have such misconceptions. The channel probably just fuels it more.

Yeah I think one thing very common in North East or should I say the Eastern side of the country is that they are very rooted to their ancestral village where probably their forefathers came from and migrated to the city unlike say places like Mumbai or Delhi. So they don't really leave behind their community just because it's a village but rather try to take their community forward so I guess one doesn't really able to guess whether they are from the rural parts or the urban parts of the city.😆 Esp in states like Assam where I think people are very close knit and sensitive about the state. Remember how every kid from there signs off with the slogan 'Jai Axom'. Which again is a beautiful think if you look at community building in these times where we are so used to living and struggling on our own. ❤️

Guys you seem to have weird misconceptions of villages 🤣 I come from a very underdeveloped place, a village if you must, and we have access to Zara and canon printers lmao. And anyway, Jorhat is hardly a village lol. What convinced me Flo's from 'the village' were those videos in her channel and how Akash said in his interview that she wants to return back to her field and cows 😆

Even I was bit surprised to see her in the village, running in those fields but was heartwarming at the same time seeing her harvest those veggies. Her father is a techie so I guess that explains the printer 🤣 and the modern vibes… like Momma said it’s a beautiful amalgamation of both modern and traditional things.
