Why? Fear of sexual abuse by a single male against female child? I hear too many news nowadays of sexual abuse of young boys to find even this practical anymore but I guess I can still understand the reasoning behind this law.

It would be more relatable if writers showed AK with a failed marriage / failed attempt to move on.... and having a child from that.... studying abroad / living with mom...... and comes in India after ....

They have said he never got married, also people in US do often not get married till their 40s

The reason I want someone from Anuj's side is because Devika is not around all the time and anyway she can show attitude from Anupama's side whereas the daughter can show attitude from his side. To compensate for his polite behaviour towards Kavya and Vanraj!!!

Devika is mature though. I want someone who doesn't give any s*** about the consequences!!! Devika is refrained by Anupama. Anupama won't assume any authority over Anuj's daughter so it will be great!!!

This will be great. And he could be actually friends with his ex wife, which would be a such a good contrast!!!!
