There was another tv show that aired - it was different for change.. staring Sanjay Kapoor.. it was based on Turkish show called ask I memnu.
I watched the Turkish version and it was amazing.
The girl marries a rich older man who a friend of her late father (she blamed her mom for his death…)
Her mom actually wanted to marry the man.. but out of vengeance she marries the older dude.. she actually does respect him though.
She’s young and then seduced by her husband’s nephew…

True. These folks agar chahe toh can reset/revolutionize but don't wanna experiment. I was watching Ratna Pathak Shah's one IV last week in which she blamed the producers for the sorry state our TV world is in.
